Thanks.

Well unfortunately it's on order and with everything thats presently going on in Japan with those poor people i'm sure delivery is going to be longer than the May 1st date I was quoted.

Seems to be under invoice, edmunds.com prices it at $34,307 including the $760.00 destination fee.

2011 Base 6 speed MT Gun Metallic $27,999 before tax tag and all the other BS (it showed $27,699 when I signed, but they took the difference in "dealer fees" to make more money I assume. I didnt care, I got it $30,500 Out the door

came with floor and trunk mats and illuminated kick plates and a full tank of gas for my camry (which was 16+ gals to fill)

Wow, that's a hell of a deal. How did you get it that far below invoice?

Putting 15-20 dealers up against each other. I will write a thread about it and let everyone know. I am sure that since I got that price, and I noticed that they
"sold" it to me for $27,699, then thats the cost they probably pay for the car and the rest is profit? Or close to that? I dont see why anyone else couldnt get that price when this dealership didn't even have it on the lot, they had to find it and deliver it.

Dont bother with all that, just go to eBay and search for new cars. one of the links will be exactly that, and it will tell you how much each dealer in the area is willing to sell you a car for below invoice, including all dealer incentives and what not.

Only catch is, you have to take from inventory. They didn't have my exact options anywhere around, but if they did, it would have been $350 below invoice. Since they didn't, I had to negotiate.

If you're interested in this thread on how I did it...

Ebay Zag pricing

That's good info Freaky. I planned to do that as well.

I stumbled across the thing on eBay, and they did all the work for me.

I bought 2011 370z coupe touring, with automatic and sport package, and floor and trunk mats, and navi. I got out of there for around $41,900, and that included the free flatbed deliver from another dealer they found it at 350 miles away. Oh, and this dealership includes "free" lifetime drive train warranty on all vehicles they sell, in addition to the Nissan Warranty. To me, free inlcusion means, you paid for it in the price ;-)

Also, they let me drive one they had on the lot with 23 miles on it til mine came in. It was what I wanted, but was silver and without nav. Can't figure out how they can afford to let someone put the first 500 miles on a new Z and try to find someone to buy it without discounting heavily, but hey, I can say that was good customer service.

I accidently hit the paddle shifters one too many times on the test driving, thinking it was a toggle, and dropped down into first. oops. Their bad for not explaining it to me? anyway, drove it til mine came in, and it didn't seem any worse for the wear.

Anyway, the Zag pricing I found on eBay ... click the model your shopping for, and the first link will be a "build it now" link.

Dealer Cost
------------
Base Vehicle: $33,908
Holdback: -$1,166
Dealer Incentives: -$0
Options (auto, touring, sport, mats, kickplates, nav): $4,961
Regional Ad Fees: $0
Destination Fees: $760
Customer Incentives: -$0

Total: $38,463

Zag price: $39,118
(guaranteed if taken from dealer inventory)

I couldn't find a red one with all the options anywhere, but they could, so I let them have the sale, even though I had to take their price instead of the Zag price from eBay.

Great customer service, if you can swing it, I highly recommend Gastonia Nissan. Go buy there and get me some service credits by telling them I sent you :-)

300 more miles til the break in period is over. Woo Hoo. I feel like a road trip just to do it, but it's just another week back and forth to work.

Insurance was only $179 more every six months, vs the 2001 Maxima I was driving.

The dealer hooked me up with 4.99% financing, but when I called State Farm to check on gap insurance, they mentioned they do financing, and did even better at 2.39%, with gap insurance included free, instead of the $699 the dealership wanted to add it on.

Also, went to discount tire, and got "certs" on the tires, which includes free rotate and balance, and also, if you get a nail in the sidewall, or some other reason kills the tire and can't be repaired, they replace it free. Dealer wanted $799 for that, I got it for $200 at discount tire. My eyes popped out at first, but then he showed me how much the tires cost to replace. "ouch" I hope I run over some nails when they're about half done, lol, just kidding.

Happy Driving
