Modded 40th Anniversary - New Owner

Purchased an excellent conditioned 40th Anniversary a couple weeks ago. Super stoked and having a blast after coming from a complete stock 350z. Also a new forum member but have been lurking for a year or so.

Almost bought that car. Guy backed out on our agreed price 2 times then raised it in the ad the next day. I could've gave him what he wanted but after 2 times of those business ethics he wasn't going to get a dime from me. Congrats, love the car!

sceet 06-01-2015 12:44 PM

Thanks all. Enjoying every second of it.

As you probably already know these members will take care of you man. I got my 40th 6 months ago in January and I'm looking to give it my personal touch :) haha. Aw man they really don't disappoint X) I totally feel you on that bro haha. Nothing compared to my last car haha X) btw you'll find the number at your door and under the hood it'll have a signature on a little plate that says "40th anniversary model #___/1000"

Actually that's only if the previous owner did that. They didn't come from the factory that way

FairladyZ40th 07-28-2015 11:41 PM

Hey guys a little off topic just wanted to know if you could help out real quick. Could anyone tell me what this little container next to the brake fluid is for?

carlitos_370z 07-29-2015 05:40 AM

FairladyZ40th 07-29-2015 08:40 AM

That is correct my friend! BTW if you have the chance buy this if you are not ready have it.... Z1 Stainless Steel Clutch Line with the Motul RBF600 brake fluid ;) here is the link

Z1 370Z / G37 Stainless Steel Clutch Line

I have it on my to do list as soon i finish other things first :)

FairladyZ40th 07-29-2015 11:19 PM

Could you tell me what your experience was like with this upgrade? And how is it better? :o

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FairladyZ40th 07-29-2015 11:43 PM

Does it really make a big difference? And what part does it replace exactly?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

carlitos_370z 07-30-2015 06:17 AM

Well i dont have it installed yet but im going to do it as soon a finish some upgrades first... well starting for the fluid is a lot better than the oem that our cars have from factory... the line... well i have a friend that installed on his car and he tell me that he dont feel a lot of difference with the line but the thing is that our cars early or later are going to have CSC problems ( I hope that not happen to me but we never know )... and i think that I read here in the forum that with the clutch line some of the members can resolve the problem when the clutch pedal goes to the floor.... Anyway is a simple mod and not pricey ;) and if you have plans to change the clutch fluid why not do that mod too  For more info hit the link that i post... they explain the reason for change them or just do a little search here on the forum ;)

FairladyZ40th 07-30-2015 07:48 AM

Fer sures hahaha I think it was a little late for me my clutch gave out and just sunk to the floor and well now she's just a sitting duck :( but if in the future it'll help then it's probably a nice investment haha but which hose/line does it replace? Is it at the bottom where the transmission line is at where you purge it or is it up higher where the little container is at? Well assuming you know haha X) sorry I'm bombing you with questions :p

Hahhaha dont worry bro!!! well the line is next to the transmission... here is a link with a pic of the line.

Nissan 370Z Forum - Niztalgic's Album: clutch install - Picture

is the line that is insulated and passing below the HFC ;)

FairladyZ40th 07-30-2015 09:19 AM

Oh I yeah I totally saw that while trying to purge the car haha ok :) I get it now and I assume it's still recommended to insulate it right?
