I didn't really care for all the special powers, even if it was in the comics. And out of no where pepper pots is an action hero? At the end she seemed like a pro.
And isn't it funny how in each iron man movie, his suit's weapon abilities decreases? It was interesting though to see the suits as not entirely invincible.
Very awesome action though. Especially when his house is getting destroyed. A overall I freaking loved the movie. Anyone else seen it?

She actually develops certain abilites. It's clearly fictional of course, but the roots in science makes most of the stuff in the Iron Man movies loosely plausible. In the comics, Pepper has her own armor especially for her she called "Rescue"

I was really disappointed with Iron Man 3. Not as much as I disliked The Dark Knight Rises, but it begins to approach that level. This will sound like I hate the movie, but I don't. I'll buy it when it's out, but it's definitely less liked than the first two.

- Gwyneth/Favreau/Cheadle are useless and should have been edited out. Probably contractually need to be a part, but should not have been there. It steals time from the story they should have fleshed out.

- Stark's anxiety attacks are an insult to anyone who has had an anxiety attack. Terribly written, terribly done, wasted idea. Good idea, just poorly done.

- I had no idea what to think of the bad guys. What are their powers? How does one die? How does one not die? Are they just being shot and that's it? What about this other one? I see their eyes glow, but wth, man?

- Clearly this was aimed a bit lower in the demographics with some lame humor and in useless kid in the middle. It really brought the movie down to a low point.

- Stark has this great situation where he's vulnerable any time he's out of the suit, which adds real tension to the situation. In this film, he appears to be an invincible superhero even without the suit. Boo.

- The movie should have focused more time and more of RDJ's acting on the issue of his place in the world being shaken badly with other super heroes, aliens, etc from The Avengers. This was hamfisted and badly addressed in such a way that I didn't care. Remove the useless characters and story bits from the beginning, rewrite or remove the middle kid section, and start hurting Tony...and you have a real character-driven piece which would be great for a third film in a series.

- End action sequence was...meh. Also the plot resolutions at the end are pretty much tacked on, unnecessary, and unearned.

- It's always been hard for me to buy Guy Pearce in a) strange costumes (i.e. the geek at the start) and b) as a bad guy. He doesn't pull either off. I wish he'd learn to do the bad guy, since I think he'd be great at it, but I'd expect this part just wasn't written with him in mind. Watch Lockout for a good role written to suit him.

- I was really looking forward to some acting/dialogue 1on1 between RDJ and Kingsley. Really let down.

- I didn't even understand until halfway through the movie that the terrorist actions were happening on US soil. I thought they were across the world based on the news footage, so I didn't understand why it was a big deal.
