Also, they should have stuck with Edward Norton for Hulk. Just sayin.

I agree but Norton got into a fight with them when he made his Hulk movie which basically made sure he was excluded from the avengers movie.

He fought with them because he didn't want a cheese-ball character like the last film. He's a real comic fan who only wanted to make sure they made a good movie. If Robert Downey had that kind of passion, they wouldn't have made that shitty second iron man.

True, and depending on how this Avengers movie goes they should have let Farveau direct this movie.

I was a bit surprised by that move. It was almost a slap in the face. I don't think Joss has exactly proven himself to get handed what's probably one of the largest projects for them in years ... but I'm just glad they didn't give it to michael bay

Joss does very good work with TV shows that are on the edge, firefly, dollhouse, etc. Farveau knows what to do, though IM2 was pathetic but they pushed that movie out just because.

I loved firefly, and even buffy was a good show (in the beginning), it just seems like quite a jump from "yeah, he's done a couple good tv shows" to "let's give him our biggest project in years!!!" But, that's basically what they did with Favreau and it paid off. (also not counting IM2 which was obviously pushed out way too fast)

theDreamer 10-15-2011 01:38 PM

Though the Avengers movie is already written and pretty much set before Joss was picked but a lot of onsite changes and camera cues, angles, etc. will play a large role into producing an 'epic' movie. Which this movie will need to be with bringing together such large superheros together into one movie.

He will have to do a great job, because we all know who the REAL avengers are

:iagree: and since he's not in it they should have just left the hulk out of this movie. Or in hulk mode the whole time and only had him on screen for the battles.

Rooster89 12-12-2011 05:02 AM

Alright guys, Mark Ruffalo is from my neighborhood. He is a great actor. And Yes, I would have like to have seen norton as hulk too, but i also wanted to see megan fox in transformers 3. What happened to trans 3? we found another hot chick who can't act but we really don't care. So I say lets give Mark ruffalo a shot, and if it sucks, we blame joss whedon who should stick to cult stuff. not mainstream.

I actually think mark ruffalo is a very good dramatic actor, but I just feel that norton was vey good as banner, and it's hard to picture someone else, esp ruffalo in his place. That said, I'm sure I'll still enjoy watching it.

It's not one guy is better than the other guy. I just like to see the same faces for each character.

Doesn't look like the team jives too much!

theDreamer 03-01-2012 09:15 AM

I think that is the point though, the whole, cluster f*ck and then in the end they start to mesh and work together.
Basically think of an All-Star team with a bunch of super stars who think they are number 1 and want to ball hog because they don't want to play with you and you start to cry and they make fun of you and...wait what are we talking about?

Nick911sc 03-01-2012 09:47 AM

Is it just me or does the Hulk look way more like Lou Ferrigno than in other adaptations?

Every trailer that comes out I like it more and more. Although Norton>Ruffalo. Even if Ruffalo is from my neighborhood.

theDreamer 03-01-2012 07:56 PM

I am liking the movie a bit more, but still worried about Joss as the director.
It looks like they have made a big budget summer blockbuster which should be fun, but hopefully it is not like Transformers in terms of dialogue.
