I saw the series and while I liked it, I loved the books do much that it was kind of a let down seeing the show. It was nothing at all like what I had pictured, and they just didn't have the budget needed to make it epic on GOT proportions.
Although the chick that played Cara was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnn nnneeeeee as hell. She can torture me all day long.

so i finished up season 1:rock: i have not read the books yet. thought it started a little slow but damn now i want more:excited:

I'm feeling pretty frustrated that my favorite characters keep getting killed. I just finished the red wedding where all of Robb's host is killed and I'm not sure if I want to continue on. Other than Jon Snow and Dany (who I hear isnt even in book 4...) I really have no interest in the remaining characters. Please tell me it gets better or if I should just stop now?

I'm reading A Feast For Crows now. 800 pages in, highly disappointed.
I loved A Storm of Swords though - favorite book of the series so far.

I think "A Feast for Crows" was the slowest book out of all of them, where there isn't a whole lot happening. I think it has a lot to do with GRRM splitting the manuscipt because it had gotten so big. It makes a bit more sense after reading A Dance with Dragons, which runs parallel to "A Feast for Crows" to a point.

It get's better and Robb wasn't a big character to begin with. I think Jon Snow is the one you'll want to root for. Just be warned that it get's a little slow before it get's better.

Game of Thrones is VERY POPULAR big-budget work to have contributed to the popularity of the fantasy genre in MEDIA SERIES. It has become the most watched original series on HBO since The Sopranos. ANS SO FAR I REALLY ENJOYED THIS SERIES

Season 2 dvd is out in a little over a month.

Book 3 is the longest (and most enjoyable IMO) so far in the series. It's going to be a good spring :tiphat:
