just stmubled on this thread, but if you wanna see a really gory anime watch deadman wonderland, kinda a short anime but actually was really good

EDIT: oh and also i noticed nobody has mentioned another long running series that is actually good...Fairy Tail :) and also don't watch the dub version of deadman wonderland, it is edited heavily for language and violence in the original :(
