I keep wondering how long they'll take to bring him back into the fold.
Then again, I don't know what he and the two guys he didn't kill are really going to be able to do unless he sneaks in and takes Carl hostage or something. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk |
Well so far everything is going as I hoped. As soon as things settle with the sickness that is going around is when we will see the *** hat governor again.

Glenn dies. :p

The gigantic herd was at the college I imagine. All those college kids with the zombies...they probably had no place to go. And maybe the college has automated messages on the loud speaker, could be drawing'em in. |
Wow. So Rick banishes Carol. That's going to piss off Daryl.
|
Oh yeah. She would have been a goner if Tyreese got to her, though.

Only if Rick told him. Looks like its going to be close next week if they don't get the drugs back to the prison. I suspect we will see Carol again at some point.

I do too. She's too big of a character to just let go like that.

She's gonna come back for the girls with some group she meets out there.

great episode this week. loving the new scripts and depth they are adding to the characters!

I think the overarching theme of this episode was letting go. The episode starts with Carol talking to one of the girls about letting go of her fear. Then we have Tyresse who literally won't let go the walker at the gas gas station as he struggles to deal with losing Karen and the thought of losing Sasha. Next we've got Bob, who refuses to let go of his alcohol addiction. So much so that he even threatens Daryl. Following that we have Michone who finally seems to let go of the hunt for the Governor, as she tells Daryl she won't go out anymore. Finally there's Carol, who asks Rick to let go of what she did and Rick, who won't. But the episode ends with Rick who appears to be struggling with the decision he's just as he continues to look back as he drives down the road.

I'm thinking Carol meets up with the Governor some place and he is leading a new group that don't know of his past. Carol is looking for a place to stay....he says she can stay but only IF she keeps quiet about his past and helps her get the girls back. I think Rick did have some second thoughts about what he did, as he kept looking in the rear view mirror for her. Too bad the sweet hippy girl got munched.

^ was about to say, Carol + Governor = batshit crazy enemy, but I can't see Carol turning that quickly on the people she's been with for so long. She's gone cold and pragmatic, not vindictive, and she would gain nothing from turning on the group, or allying herself with the Governor. It's hard because she's doing what she thinks is right, and for the greater good. Rick, on the other hand, is dealing with his outbursts against Ty, his sense of morality / murder (that question "how many have you killed?" gets more and more significant as time goes by), and his past insanity after losing Lori, that his decision making isn't 100% sound as it used to be.
I still side with Rick, the moment you let go of ALL your humanity is when you cease to function as human beings, but it's a tough call in a post-apocalyptic setting like this. Hippy girl and other guy annoyed the piss out of me. Was happy they did not become regular characters. |
Rick has also murdered people and so did Karl when he killed that other kid. So what will Rick tell the group? Thats going to be interesting.
