I haven't read any of the comics so I have no idea of what's coming up, but it would seem that Rick is losing it and now that Darryl is gone, Glenn is the one that may step up as the leader. It was somewhat foreshadowed by Maggie telling him that he is strong and could lead this group if he wanted to back in one of the earlier episodes. Also as is especially evident after her near-rape, Glenn is growing balls and is no longer the errand boy in the sidelines that he was in the first couple seasons and is now ready to step into that role.

The show ventures away from the comics, so there's no telling what will happen.

Any of you guys watch "Shameless" on Showtime? I recently started getting into it........and holy tities, I thought Game of Thrones had a lot of gratuitous nudity. It's on at the same time as Walking Dead and have to admit I watched Shameless first. Something about seeing Emmy Rossum naked in every other episode that keeps me tuned in.

I read that post in Peter Griffith's voice! but, I don't have showtime.

Yeah, I was a little confused as to why everyone's months of training just seemed to disappear.

months of training is very little yall. Folks with years of training still don't tend to shoot accurately in a "firefight." Even with years of training, you will still sh1t yourself. Training is different from engagement experience. Training drills what your actions should be when you find yourself in that situation. Engagement experience desensitizes you so you don't literally sh1t your pants, you hands are a little bit steadier, you don't hesitate as long before acting, and decreases the chance of you puking after its all said and done. Hollywood tries to convince you that a lone gunman with a handgun can take down 40+ targets without getting shot and without having to take cover/reload.

Its the goddamn walking dead, you really think people would get able to get headshots on zombies the way they do in the show? Go to a range, rent any old handgun you want, get a reflex target (human silhouette), and try and get a headshot at even 15 feet. And that is in a nice range without any fear and adrenaline messing with you.

food for thought:
Figures coming out of Iraq and The Ghan combined estimate 250,000 rounds fired per insurgent killed.

Enjoy the show :tiphat:

Feh.

The hacks working for AMC need to stick to the ******* comic. With the exception of a more interesting Governor, their deviations from the comic have generally ranged from tolerable to painful.

Last five minutes were good -- at least they gave Michonne a chance to do something other than pout in the corner.

Let's move it along... I'm wondering how AMC will handle the Saviors, who make the Governor and crew look like girl scouts.

I guess my comment did come off a little ignorant. What I was trying to say is that up until this point pretty much every character in the show has been able to one shot zombies from unrealistic distances (Carl nailing walkers from the guard tower with his pistol) without breaking a sweat with little more than Shane's training on the farm. Then as soon as someone is shooting back they can't hit the backside of a barn.

I realize they are different situations, but it just bothered that they went from appearing to be expert shooters to people that had never handled a gun in their lives.

I think the Governor & his men had the high ground and advantage. They were pretty far away and had cover. The guard tower guy had the high ground, another was in the thick brush/woods and the governor had both flanks covered. If you notice, no one really shot at the governor with any attempt at precision. Rick's group was essentially in the open and unprepared for a fire fight. As far as marksmanship, I know its just a show, but it would kind of make sense that shooting a predictable target like a walker, would be a lot easier to take down than someone who is shooting back at you with an equally accurate rifle. To my knowledge, this is the first time Carl has been in a real fire fight against living people. It would also make sense that the governor's plan wasn't to kill everyone there.

Solid reply. I wonder his purpose of terrorizing the group vs killing them is, though. In the comics he has a pretty clear purpose when he gets to the prison.

Since I didn't watch the comic, I never expect someone to randomly get shot in the head. Better episode than the premier, but it was definitely painful to watch the crew get their asses handed to them, and equally as painful to watch rick spiral out of control.

Why didn't Glen try to flip the Governor's truck when they basically crosspathed with each other? Kinda silly
