What kinda spoiler and what color? pm me

bat6wc 07-17-2012 03:27 PM

BlackTop Aero/Ravspec Roof spoiler - they say its urethane and not fiberglass but feels like fiberglass to me. K23 is paint code.

Aw guys, I just got my first scratch on my Z from a hater. Totally deliberate M-shaped scratch on the hood right at hand level, probably someone with keys in hand and a few flips of the wrist as they walk by. :shakes head:

I haven't had it out in forever, then last Saturday I took it out on a few errands. Didn't notice it until just now.

Jasonle 07-18-2012 08:54 PM

That's f up man! Sorry that happen to you :(. You know what that means tho? Carbon fiber hood!

sfearl1 07-18-2012 09:02 PM

Hmm, that looks like a back n' forth motion you'd make w/ a towel... could've been a piece of debris on your towel when you last dried it off.

Well, the only person who hand dries it is Chris, and he is so unbelievably anal about it I know for sure he'd never do it. Oh and I think he uses one of those weird rubbery cloth things (can't remember what they're called), and only does one swipe down, never a back and forth. If he ever did something like that he'd notice right away, and so would I, from the amount of very loud expletives coming from the driveway haha

keb370z 07-18-2012 09:35 PM

It's a shammy (chamois?).

Or, "weird rubbery cloth thing".

white370j 07-19-2012 12:25 AM

How deep is it?

keb370z 07-19-2012 09:37 AM

Enough of a gouge that your fingernail will catch in it, but I don't think it's through the paint. Could have been a lot worse. It's a sorry excuse for a key job. The photo was taken after Chris waxed it. I thought it looked better. He says it doesn't.

FuszNissan 07-19-2012 10:42 AM

You can orbital buff that out.

Just painted. In fact, I dropped it off the other day at Fusz body shop (the one behind the Kia dealership). Does Nissan have its own body shop?
