I would be down to set something up, but it would most likely bee a weekend trip/run.
I like 15 minutes out of Down Town STL on the IL side. |
Lunch tomorrow after cars and coffee?

Well, it is a sad day to report that I have sold Batman (Really Batgirl because it's a "her", but other people gave her the nickname Batman). I have had her for six years. Put 15,000 loving miles and spent over $20k in mods to make it over 600 hp. It was one of the baddest convertible Z's out there. I will miss her greatly because the kid I sold her to has already wrecked her. It was so much fun to drive. When the RPM's built up and I shifted, the hiss that came out of that thing was impressive. WHOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!! It made people jump. Then they would look and smile. It was a bad machine. So long Batman. You will be in my dreams.

that's bad news on both counts. is it time to build another one yet?

Stl Z
Hey all. New Z owner in stl. If anyone can throw out reputable and reasonably priced shops or friends who will help me with my Swift spring install, let me known
In the Saint Louis, st Charles area! Thanks! Patrick |

But yeah, I take the Z to work with me sometimes (before Covid anyway, been working from home since March). I'm usually in my daily driver (Mazdaspeed3). Do you park in QuikPark? I'm trying to remember if I saw another Z in there... |
Also, wow, this thread is dead... :(
|
Yeah, that's quite the gap in post dates. Doesn't help that people like me create accounts and continue to do nothing but lurk. I think this is my second ever post. To keep it STL related, you see a fair amount of Zs driving around but once, at the intersection of Butler Hill and Lemay Ferry, there were three '09 Platinum Graphite Z34s, mine included, sitting at different red lights just looking back and forth at each other. Would have been rare enough in 2009, but in 2020 it was extremely odd.

I lived in Alton il and hardly ever saw any other 370s. Sucks now for the thread revival 😆
|
While not many, I've seen a few since last posting, but mines a DD and shows it... because bullet holes are just part of daily driving in good ol' St. Louie. Just last night I saw a super clean white 370Z at the Arnold QuikTrip while pumping gas. I get so jealous of you guys that haven't had your cars shot, attacked by deer, and run off the road twice all in the last half year, so don't ever really approach anyone. I know the second I put my replacement parts on a helicopter rotor or something is going to land in the middle of my hood or roof.
That leads me to the question, what shops do you guys trust around here? I've always been self maintenance but sometimes I consider taking the lazy route and just paying, but feel like it'll just cost more in the long run that way. |
I've moved back to Alton from Nashville and if anyone wants to meet up this spring/summer I'm down. There is a pretty solid car scene over here on the Il side, plus minus most of the Stl drama lol

As for shops, my Z isn't a dd so I haven't needed much done. The only mods I do are audio if that counts. But I did have a torn boot thing in the front spring area and I drove all the way to St. Charles Nissan dealer for that. I also went there for oil changes for years. Long drive for me but I'm picky about who touches my Z. Say what you want about dealers but this one has convenient hours and gives me a rental for the day. Probably not helpful at all I know. |
Do any of you have the sticky dash problem in your Z? Anyone know of any local companies that can provide some kind of fix?
|
|
There is a few in Peoria, IL
|
Stl area here saying let’s get a meet set up!
If the weather allows it I can’t get myself to take her out on the salty streets of winter Missouri streets but it hasn’t happened yet anyone down we still have tomorrow lol
|
I'll be moving back to the area from KC in the coming months.
Z has been a daily for 7 years, hasnt rusted to pieces yet. Not sure why everyone is so scared of the snow. It's just a cheap sports car! |
