Branson (MO) Z Fest 2012 Dates Announced

All right boys and girls, moms and dads. To help you plan your 2012 vacation schedule, Branson Z Fest will be held the weekend of June 1-3, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

For the benefit of the new members, Branson Z Fest is an annual event which draws cars from as far away as Oregon and Arizona and attendees come from as far away as England and Finland!! No Kidding!!

As you know, Branson Z Fest begins whenever you get there. Lot's of folks come in early to drive the beautiful roads in the area.

It's not for certain if it will be at the same location or not. Branson Z Fest CEO/CFO Michael "Pickle" Pinckard will soon be touring the hotel to see if last year's deficiencies have been corrected.

For now, mark your calendars and plan your vacations accordingly.

Hell lets figure out a meeting place...would have to be in Springfield. I'm hoping to have a few more mods done before then. Gonna make my Z "laugh " with joy all the way down there.

LMFAO....I'm still waiting to take it on raods like that. If I wasn't so worried about it snowing I'd have it in Arkansas with me. At the same time I'll be filling out my vaction form when I get back.

Jasonle 12-08-2011 04:22 PM

Sorry for stupid question...what do you do at zfest? Meet and greet and drive around? Ive never been to any meets before...especially like this kinda event. Hopefully my driving skills gets better (Still learning how to drive a stick)

mcconned 12-11-2011 03:31 PM

Not a stupid question at all. Branson is a very low key event. It's a combination meet and greet and great driving. The only "official" events are the Friday drag strip and Saturday car show. The rest of the time is hanging out with fellow ZedHeads.

Maps are available for local day trips and the roads and scenery are phenomenal. You can go off on your own or hook up with others you meet there.

BZF is also famous for it's "parking lot conferences". Almost any time of the day or night there are groups of attendees hanging out in the lot and talking Z's.

Where can this info be picked up at? And did I hear...Drag Strip?.....OHHHHHHHHH yeah....time to run...
I've worked around and in Branson and yes the driving scenery is phenomenal and the roads are prefect for testing out your Z.

One_Quick_Z 12-11-2011 10:31 PM

I went last year and it was a blast, the only organized even it the show and the drag strip day,

Drag day is fun but the track leaves alot to be desired lol.....

The cruises are worth going on they are some of the best driving roads I have been on :)

The website is not turned on yet. The "CEO" has to inspect the hotel, etc. to be sure the shortcomings from last year have been corrected.

It's a great set-up. The hotel consists of 3 buildings and the lot for the car show ajoins it.

In past years the hotel room rate was only $55/night with 2 queen beds and a hot buffet breakfast. BUT....that was last year and it remains to see what this year brings for us.

While you're there you'll meet ZedHeads from, literally, all over the world. Our Finland attendee proposed to his girlfriend in front on the whole Z fest.

Branson Z Fest has been described as like a big family reunion without all the fist fights!! :)

tower74 12-12-2011 07:03 PM

Well lets hope the do fix the problems. That location sounds perfect and the price is good as well...for being the travel season. I travel all the time and to find a $55 a night room you have give up quality to get those rates.

dixon cider 12-17-2011 01:27 AM

I may have to bring THE BEAST down for this!!

I'm sure you would win, as I would never put her on a drag strip. I would have to take the diaper off her and that aint happenin'. :tiphat:

I've still yet to put it on the track myself and with the weather here in missouri it could be 70 degrees one day and snowing the next. Expescially here in KC. I thought you had SC'd yours.

I did SC. Stage two, 507 to the rear wheel. But my track days were on the sport bike. The car is just for fun. Weather is the same here in STL, but I have no desire to track it. I barely put 4000 miles a year on it and it is just a weekend car. If you go to Branson, we will have to meet up though. Would love to see yours.

tower74 12-19-2011 02:21 AM

I would say I put about 6000-8000 a year. The drag does kinda worry me, be my luck I'd put it in the wall. Yeah I'm going to be down there and the old girl will have some new clothes...new amuse body kit, new amuse carbon fiber hood and a carbon fiber nismo wing. Damn these cars are an expensive hobby.

edub370 12-19-2011 07:55 AM

im still trying to figure out how to afford going FI on my car. (*glances at american express card*)

Its only money....if you believe the nut jobs the world will end next year. So spend it likes it's going out of style. Even if it doesn't what is the worst that can happen. Have a few more bills
:ugh2:

tower74 01-13-2012 11:17 PM

Ummmm anything new about the Branson? or did I take those days so I wouldn't have to travel for work...:ugh2:

dixon cider 01-14-2012 12:40 AM

Still on as far as I know.

sboden 01-14-2012 07:51 AM

It will happen. The only question is who will go. I'm not sure yet for myself. I may do a one nighter.

mcconned 01-14-2012 08:12 AM

Yes, this will happen. Last year the hotel was, shall we say, lacking. It had been shut down due to bankruptcy. It reopened just a few days before BZF and, suffice it to say, they could have used more time to clean the place up. One whole building was shutdown.

The organizer, a.k.a. Pickle, is checking the host hotel to ensure it's cleaned up and, in the event it's not, find an alternative.

If you're on Facebook, Branson Z Fest has a page there. Thet's where I've been getting a lot of my updates.

edub370 01-14-2012 10:19 AM

heck ya i'll be coming. dont worry tower, your days off werent for nothing.

dan keep us up to date on anything you find out.

sboden, hey one night is better than nothing!

tower74 01-15-2012 05:48 PM

Oh I know they won't be for nothing....if anything they would turn into a blur from drinking.

mcconned 01-16-2012 05:27 PM

I just realized that Branson Z Fest 2011 is on BUT it's all 2011 info. Take a look anyhow and get an idea about the event. Be sure to check out the pictures and videos.

tower74 01-17-2012 06:09 PM

Wow a ton of 300's but with the amount 370 owners rising it's going to a great time. Now just to stop spending money to afford the trip....well maybe not.

edub370 01-18-2012 09:33 AM

^^ (*COUGH*) cf body kit....

Jasonle 01-18-2012 10:56 PM

Man i hope i can make this meet!

GunMetal40thZ 01-23-2012 04:29 PM

I am in for sure!

tower74 01-23-2012 07:56 PM

I was wondering if there were any Z's down in Springfield. I know most of us up here in KC are planning a big caravan and meet up with the guys from STL. Then make it an even larger one heading into Branson.

GunMetal40thZ 01-24-2012 11:13 AM

^^^ PM me before the meet and I will caravan with you....
