I've worked around and in Branson and yes the driving scenery is phenomenal and the roads are prefect for testing out your Z.

The website is not turned on yet. The "CEO" has to inspect the hotel, etc. to be sure the shortcomings from last year have been corrected.

It's a great set-up. The hotel consists of 3 buildings and the lot for the car show ajoins it.

In past years the hotel room rate was only $55/night with 2 queen beds and a hot buffet breakfast. BUT....that was last year and it remains to see what this year brings for us.

While you're there you'll meet ZedHeads from, literally, all over the world. Our Finland attendee proposed to his girlfriend in front on the whole Z fest.

Branson Z Fest has been described as like a big family reunion without all the fist fights!! :)

Well lets hope the do fix the problems. That location sounds perfect and the price is good as well...for being the travel season. I travel all the time and to find a $55 a night room you have give up quality to get those rates.

I'm sure you would win, as I would never put her on a drag strip. I would have to take the diaper off her and that aint happenin'. :tiphat:

I've still yet to put it on the track myself and with the weather here in missouri it could be 70 degrees one day and snowing the next. Expescially here in KC. I thought you had SC'd yours.

I did SC. Stage two, 507 to the rear wheel. But my track days were on the sport bike. The car is just for fun. Weather is the same here in STL, but I have no desire to track it. I barely put 4000 miles a year on it and it is just a weekend car. If you go to Branson, we will have to meet up though. Would love to see yours.

tower74 12-19-2011 02:21 AM

I would say I put about 6000-8000 a year. The drag does kinda worry me, be my luck I'd put it in the wall. Yeah I'm going to be down there and the old girl will have some new clothes...new amuse body kit, new amuse carbon fiber hood and a carbon fiber nismo wing. Damn these cars are an expensive hobby.

Its only money....if you believe the nut jobs the world will end next year. So spend it likes it's going out of style. Even if it doesn't what is the worst that can happen. Have a few more bills
:ugh2:

tower74 01-13-2012 11:17 PM

Ummmm anything new about the Branson? or did I take those days so I wouldn't have to travel for work...:ugh2:

dixon cider 01-14-2012 12:40 AM

Still on as far as I know.

sboden 01-14-2012 07:51 AM

It will happen. The only question is who will go. I'm not sure yet for myself. I may do a one nighter.

mcconned 01-14-2012 08:12 AM

Yes, this will happen. Last year the hotel was, shall we say, lacking. It had been shut down due to bankruptcy. It reopened just a few days before BZF and, suffice it to say, they could have used more time to clean the place up. One whole building was shutdown.

The organizer, a.k.a. Pickle, is checking the host hotel to ensure it's cleaned up and, in the event it's not, find an alternative.

If you're on Facebook, Branson Z Fest has a page there. Thet's where I've been getting a lot of my updates.
