Nope this one is going on this car. The last one just was a little much to do all at once at on my then current salary. With this one coming, the whole front end with the lip, will be installed within days. Once I receive it, it is going to the painter and I'll be in installing my 32 row oil cooler while I wait for them to finish. Then I'm going to install the part myself.

When: Wednesday, July 17.
Time: 6-8 pm.
Where: Oklahoma Joes
11950 South Strang Line Road
Olathe, KS.
This is on the SW corner of 119th and Strang Line by Tractor Supply.

This will be different than the number #1 event in that, due to the large volume of business Oklahoma Joes does, we were unable to secure special parking or seating. It was recommended to us we park closer to the Tractor Supply side of the lot.
So this will be very casual…come when you can, park where you can, and eat when/where you can.
The one thing you can count on is lots of great people sharing their love of the Z!
A Jackson and Kit Lueg Production in association with Heart of America Z Car Club! :)

Reminder!!

Once again, BOBE #2 was a HUGE success. All total we had over 20 cars from many generations. Kit and Jackson did a great job getting us parked together. It provided quite a car show for OK Joe's patrons.

We had quite the gathering in the parking lot after stuffing ourselves with BBQ. As you'd expect, a lot of hoods were raised and a lot of car talk ensued.

BBQ and cars....My idea of a great evening.

It was great meeting everyone last night!

I did try to register with HAZCC last night - the web page is giving me an error when I try to submit my registration form. Also, the contact us page wasn't accepting the Captcha.

Ugh...well I completely blew the sandwich adapter/oil filter off my oil cooler driving last night. Heard a pop and got the indicator light 2 seconds later. Had to have a tow and got it setup back to factory now. Going to try to go find the part today... hoping its on the side of the road somewhere visible and not crushed

edit: false alarm on "blowing the sandwich plate off". I had it towed to Nissan and they were being dramatic. Lines were all still connected to the plate and core but I guess I didn't get the adapter threaded onto the factory oil filter mount tight enough. It was separated from the oil pan with the filter still on. Naturally, Nissan would not touch the after market cooler, but they only charged me for an oil change to fill it up and fully inspect the motor which was undamaged (I pulled over and killed the engine right away). Probably calling modified by KC Monday to see if they'd take on the reconnect and check the rest of my work. Plus gonna let them put on the cats cuz I don't want to F with the demon bolts after this episode. Live and learn, still patting myself on the back for trying, since I haven't ever done anything besides an intake and cbe before on the acura.

mcconned 07-23-2013 11:24 AM

Going to Fast Friday's this week? Please read and heed the following from KC Trends FB page:

"PLEASE READ!!!! The street in front of our store (between KC Trends and HY Vee) is under construction and in currently ONE WAY, you cannot turn right off of 135th nor can you leave KC Trends and turn right to get to 133rd. PLEASE follow these direction or you WILL get a ticket. We know this will make things a pain Friday but please be careful and deal with the construction, it will be great to have more parking once the new retail area is finished in the empty lot! Thanks and see you all Friday night."

Oh look someone actually installed it . It will be painted next week along with the hood. Then in a few weeks I'll be picking up the rear end for this kit. If someone wouldn't of stole half my tools (former co-workers) this would of taken about 30min to install. Great product.

Thanks. I'm also going to have them paint parts of the hood and realign it. Then probably in a month or so I'll pick up the rear and the quad exhaust.

m3chhawk 07-28-2013 08:14 PM

Mike, weren't you looking to drop? Pretty solid price

i have put 2200~ miles on it so far and have gotten about 17.5 mpg's. Those miles were mainly driven on vacation a few weeks ago in the Mountains down and back to South Carolina. I imagine the mileage will get better after 5000 miles as i have read that is when the "learn" settings in the computer figure it out.

The power is awesome on the truck i love it!

now someone buy my 370z so i can buy a motor for my 70 cougar im building!

It, along with the hood, are being painted right now by Elite in St. Louis. It's easy as hell to install. I should have photos of it by Saturday.
