i think johnson county is a given. but what forums do we need to post on/what forums do we need to stay away from? open to all?

Well, now that I have a local job,:excited:, and the car being fixed right now(minus the tune....STILL) I should be able to make one of these. Just gotta know what day. That way I can find out if I have to work that Sat. Only gotta work one a month.

Bass Pro Shop (119th & I35) has done car shows. They had a huge mustang club show a couple of months ago. They have a huge lot and a Starbucks is just across the street.

ya me and my dad regular the basspro/jason'sdeli in that complex. so we have discussed this location before. Geographically its in a pretty nice spot, easy to tell someone where it is.

i dont know where the other show was held but, ideally id want the east restaurant lot, closest to 135th & frontage road. Versus having people park it the back corner of the main lot.

i also threw out the smaller north lot, that is always empty, and much closer to starbucks but my dad thinks its way to small. (120 spots what i counted, plus houlihan's and such dont open till 11 so you'd plenty of overflow parking is if was busy day.)

one major thing i forgot to mention

worried basspro will only let us do it once, if at all. Their not actually benefiting from us being there whatsoever. cept maybe getting people to come inside, kinda early for that. Where as a day long mustang show was sure to bring spectators in.

bass pro starts getting as busy as a wal-mart on sat and sun @9

the smaller north lot, is actually under same management as starbucks and most those business are vacant or dont open that early.

did more counting on other lots

man this is a big undertaking to figure one of these out

tower74 08-16-2012 06:06 PM

Holy christ the new test pipes have made my car even louder. At least it's one step closer to being fixed. Now just need to quite it down some and get it tuned.

edub370 08-17-2012 07:44 AM

haha i figured that thing would sound beastly with test pipes

Nuki 08-17-2012 07:54 AM

Anything going on today? Gotta free schedule.

I should have known my first few weeks back would be spent with the family. It sure has been fun too, but now I'm starting to get settled in so I can start doing things.

edub370 08-17-2012 10:59 AM

actually, not today, but tomorrow i will be meeting up with pbhakta so he can get an idea of what the cnt exhaust sytem is like. we'll be meeting up here in the norhtland around the barry road area if anyone else wants to meet up let me know!

tower74 08-17-2012 05:24 PM

I don't know. After being in my car for 6 hrs today. I don't know if I can take another minute in that noisy SOB. I'm either ripping those things out or gonna try to find something to calm that "Sweet Nipples of Jesus I wish I was deaf" sound.

Lemers 08-17-2012 06:25 PM

Isnt the radio for drowning out noisy SOBs?

edub370 08-17-2012 10:56 PM

Lol i can imagine that test pipes + sts turbo kit > radio.

Anyways, anyone down to meet up for bit? Lloyd, u kno u wanna come

The Mustang club used the lot you would be interested in. It is not used very much by Bass Pro Shop customers. The Mustang club had too many cars for just that lot and also went a couple of rows all the way to Renner in the main lot. The lot by Kansas Sampler and Houlihans is generally empty and Kansas Sampler may like the possible additional traffic to their store, so that is definitely an option. I only work a few blocks away, so I'm pretty familiar with how full those lots get. The Houlihan's area does get full during their busy times which is not in the morning or during Saturday afternoons.

JacksonZ33 08-20-2012 10:59 AM

ya its really hard to try and guess how many may show up. is it gunna be like 30 cars or more like 100, or more like 200, who knows...

mentioned on other page , I went to the Kc trends tour, meet Chad, Really have new appreciation for him and what his trying to do with FF. (get youth back into cars)

he mentioned on a busy FF night he has around 1000 people coming and going.
while not a 1000 cars, a 1K people is still a TON.
