I was in Iowa celebrating Christmas/New Years with my wife's family. I would have met up with both of you had I not been.

It's a large get together in SC. They also do dyno runs, car show etc. There is a thread about it in this section, I think. Seems cool just a bit of a drive.

edub370 01-31-2012 07:59 PM

Hit us up on the forum when you get to the base. Not very many of us. The Z seems to be rare in KC area or no really drives theirs.

I'll shot you some picks when they finally get in....after the dyno day it looks like I'm gonna go ahead and send the car to STS. Really have no choice:icon14:...well I do but if I want her up to my standards then it's off to Utah with her. Just hope I get sent on the road for six weeks when the time comes. Makes the time fly by.:excited:

Just saw a blue 370 at 119th/Strangline in Olathe yesterday (Saturday). It was looking good. I was in my company car. Also had a little fun with a 350 on my way home from work. Outside of meets it was the most Z's I've seen in one day and the only time I've seen a 350 and 370 in one day. One of the things I like about mine is you just don't see them around.

Sounds like michaels (Zkraken22) car. He has a blue 7at and lives down in that neck of the woods. Lenexa i believe

I completely agree tho. I have probably only seen MAYBE a dozen 370's randomly around kc since I have bought mine. Definately reminds me how unique our cars are

tower74 02-12-2012 06:57 PM

Ok...just got stopped by 3 cops because someone said I passed them at a high rate of speed..over 100. Was told by the cops that if the person wanted to file charges I would get a ticket for C&I. So basically they were saying that if anyone wants to claim someone is doing something wrong they can get a ticket for it....hmmmm. That person, I know what type of vechile they were driving, ever comes even close to me it's on!!! Black Volvo SUV you're my b!tch now!!

By the way anybody in Missouri...take your plate covers off...clear or tinted they are illegal. Found that one out as well.

sboden 02-13-2012 08:57 AM

Yes, tinted plate covers are illegal. Yes, you could get a ticket but (though it would be a pain) it wouldn't stick in court. #1 the odds of the person showing up to the hearing is pretty low. #2 How would the person know how fast you were going unless they match it would then get them a ticket #3 They have no implied credibility. I'm actually very surprised you got stopped without the officers clocking you over the speed limit. They don't and frankly shouldn't go off of what someone else said on a traffic violation unless they see it themselves and even then they could only cite you for what they saw not for what the citizen saw.

edub370 02-13-2012 09:19 AM

agreed ^^

that sounds like a completely bs ticket that could never hold up in court

tower74 02-13-2012 10:17 PM

I had actually stopped to buy some groceries. I was loading my car and turned around and 3 cops were walking towards me...one had his hand on his gun. Trust me I'm still pissed for the fact that it even happened. Was also told I was reported driving the same on I70....explained to them I had car load of kids flipping me off because I guess I have a nicer car or they wanted to race. So I showed them what they were up against.
I'm sure me telling them go ahead and write the ticket several times didn't help. Also told them if I did ever run in my they would catch me:bowrofl:.It's so much fun to f*ck with the cops when you know they can't do sh!t about it.

tower74 02-13-2012 10:19 PM

oh yeah no ticket issued and just a warning for the plate cover. He said it was an $80 ticket.

sboden 02-14-2012 09:15 AM

If you did all that, I'm surprised they didn't write the plate ticket.......

erkthejerk73 02-14-2012 09:29 AM

he was in a parking lot, and not on a public road, so i dont think they could write the ticket?

sboden 02-14-2012 09:52 AM

Sure they could for the plate. It doesn't matter whether he was in a private lot. They couldn't ticket him for say running the stop sign in a private lot though.

erkthejerk73 02-14-2012 10:03 AM

i see, i was just guessing

Xsad 02-14-2012 11:25 AM

Do you guys have any experience with headers install? I live at zip code 66502. Would like a hand to help me. Or if you guys could referral a shop with fair labor.

edub370 02-14-2012 11:43 AM

i haven't personally done headers but have heard the install is a b!tch. i could maybe tell u a couple places in KC that could do it, depending on if you are wanting to come up here to get it done

Xsad 02-14-2012 12:12 PM

Do you know how much would it cost?

edub370 02-14-2012 01:00 PM

couldnt tell ya. throw up a thread in the exhaust section and see what people have paid that have had this done

:roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2: It's amazing what you get away with when they know they can't prove anything. Except the plate cover but a lawyer is only a phone call away.
