Labor question - has anyone gotten HFCs/Test pipes installed around here anywhere? May be picking some up soon and am curious to know what install cost would look like.

Barring an encounter with the 'demon bolt', I would guess you are looking at about an hour of labor, with a ball park guess of about $125. Hit the HAZCC FB page for the shop that offers a discount to HAZCC members. :tiphat:

I'm in Springfield MO but would gladly drive up for a meet or cruise on a weekend.. I've got an Athens blue G37S, couple breather mods, nothing earth shattering.

Edit: Crap, sorry for the giant picture

Modified By KC just quoted me $265 with a 20% increase on labor if I bring my own parts. That costs more than the part!!

Thinking I may just save the dollars and go DIY. Any of you guys have any demon bolt experiences to sway me one way or the other?

From what I've read, some folks have problems, some don't. What I would do is soak the bolts with PB Blaster or Kroil for about an hour, then use an air impact to take off the nuts. If you have access to a lift, then using a torch is an option to heat the nut red hot, then let it cool. The third option is cutting tool and new nuts and bolts.

I think the HAZCC shop is Santa Fe in Independence. Don't quote me on that, I looked yesterday, and then promptly forgot. :ugh2: It might be worth the $35 to join, rather than pay the extra 20% for Modified by KC to install stuff. I know the shop that offers the HAZCC discount is good with us bringing our own parts.

MKC charges way too much for labor. Be careful...

Original "Fast & the Furious" Returns to Theaters for 15th Anniversary

I'll set up the first joke: How much do you think the tickets will be?

I'm sure they'll pull a premium..

Alright I accept that I may get flamed for this but, what shop around town would you recommend for an oil change? Anywhere I could bring oil/filter to that would only charge small amount for service? Don't have my jack/jackstands in town yet and the $100+ quote from a Nissan stealership was appalling. Hoping to get this done today!

Santa Fe Garage in Independence. They also offer a discount to HAZCC members and they will use your parts.

Anyone gotten their 60K service yet? So far I know this is what I'll need:

Trans fluid (Motul 300ls or Redline MT85?)
Brake fluid (RBF 600)
Hawk Ceramic F/R pads
Power steering flush (Redline PS fluid?)
Radiator flush
Drive belt service

I have real bad spray booth clear coat swirls and need some buffing/polishing done before winter hits. I'm very interested.

hey guys, i know I've been MIA for a while and bring good/bad news.

I traded the Z in last weekend. Loved the car while i had it but it was time to move on. In case you're curious i moved into a 2013 bmw 550i. Sad to see the Z go but the 4.4L v8 twin turbo in the bmw is filling the hole in my heart nicely.

I did take the exhaust off the Z before trading it in if anyone is interested. Its a TopSpeed Pro-1 cat back with the Ti look tips. I had it on the Z for a little under 2 years and really liked it.

I also have resonated test pipes that I never actually put on since I couldn't get the stock CATs off. They are still sitting in brand new condition.

Let me know if anyone's interested and I can send pics and talk prices.
Feel free to email me or text/call. amersemail@gmail.com or 314-246-0679

Zombie thread returns...

Hey all, had a quick shoot done by a friend in the West Bottoms last weekend. Extremely pleased with how the shots turned out considering the Z wasn't squeaky clean and we didn't carve out a lot of time. More in my "Mini Shoot" album if you wanted to take a look, and feel free to check out anthonyroderman.com to see more from the photographer!
