How fast do you guys think FI Res TP will go on the WTS thread? I really am thinking about ditching it and going for just straight TP. I find my exhaust sound (as some of you heard that one FF) too quiet. It's nice when you step on it but I kinda want it a bit louder. Not sure if changing to regular TP will change that at all.

I think it depends on the price. I would think the volume would increase on a straight TP along with a different sound. It depends on how restrictive the FI Res TP was and I have not heard a with and without example so I don't know for sure.

taking out that resonator should add a little more volume. worth a shot

I would keep your resonated until you try the non-res. May be too much rasp.

Hmm, I guess I will know exactly what my full system sounds like once I get the Tomei Y-pipe in the summer. One thing that concerns me is possibly having to get a new exhaust if i want more sound. I can't think of anything else that is sub $2000 that is JDM. I may consider changing to a Greddy Ti-C but I heard those are discontinued. FI sounds amazing but the wait may be too long.
Edit: So I looked, and it seems that the replacement for the Ti-C is the Evo3. The sound levels (from their measurements) are pretty loud but it seems as though the design would be similar to AAM Shortails. Edit 2: I think I will be looking at the Tomei exhaust... Though it will be a single exit it will sound amazing. Only thing is I need to find someone to buy my current exhaust and using that to cover the new exhaust. |
