When I went from a 350z to the 70 it was night and day. and my 350z had TP's, Intake, exhaust, headers.

I love rev match and given the brake kit, sport package was a must for me.

Exactly!! It's there, just smoother and more refined.

Buy a 370Z.

Given they just did a redesign of the front end, you are looking at 2015-2016 for a new version. If they go lighter and cheaper, you aren't going to want one. If they go turbo, it will likely be 4-cylinder. The most desirable change is something more sexy with a turbo VQ (or the unlikely V8). However, this is going to come at a cost (~$45k for sport?)

For what a new Z will cost 2-3 years from now, you could have a twin turbo 2012 built exactly how you want it and drive it for a few years before the new ones are even released. That car would undoubtedly be better than any possible 2015-16 for quite a bit cheaper. Throw in the fact that we don't know what the car will be and the first two years will have "issues" (see steering lock, oil cooler, etc...) and I personally think it becomes more clear.

Or for the money, you could do a really clean LS swap in your 350Z :driving:

Like this rational a lot. Know those going FI had to ask themselves similar question.

From my shoes, and bad to think like this, but is it 3x the car? I'm spoiled by value 350 given me so far. Only screwed cause its a time bomb.

Kinda against the ls1 swapping, but a guy in St. Louis is considering buying mine in a couple months to do just that. Also know some1 here in town that has one, tho never actually seen it.

The value of the 350 is nearly impossible to beat. That is why I bought mine. Nothing combines the driving experience, fuel economy, sexyness, and power for that value. Is a 370Z three times the car? Probably not, but you are paying quite a bit for the lower mileage and condition on top of the technology and design changes. Same as if you traded for a low mileage 08.

The guy that bought mine was going to do an LS swap, but I haven't seen it or heard from him since he bought it last September.

Going from a highly modified 350Z to a 370Z Nismo, felt like an exponential jump rather than just a step up or two. Of course I too am curious to see what they'll do with the next iteration of the Z platform. I've read the articles about a mid range FR-S style vehicle (might or might not be the Z) and I've seen the ones that mention a higher and lower option (diesel turbos and such for more power and better gas mileage). Personally my two cents is that it's time to either break away from the VQ, or make a drastic change to the platform to lower the weight and/or offer a +2 version.

Do a search for "Nissan green lights "mini Z" " on that other forum, they have some discussion on it going there.

Also forgot to mention how soft suspension was. Pitch and dived soo much during hard braking and acceleration.

I want....See how goes, ideally like to save a little get a used one. But really love the one drove today.

What was it?

Nuki 06-15-2013 03:56 PM

I have math on the brain. Way too much calc in my life. The equation for the post above is kinda like this- 370Z + N=350z^2+22 ok sorry, I'll go back to my math homework now.

ZKraken22 06-15-2013 04:02 PM

What we should do is take your 350z vs a base 370z. then your dads nismo vs base 370z. Then take your 350z vs a 370z nismo. then 350z nismo vs 370z nismo. Then 370z base vs 370z nismo!!!

White 13 with sport (non touring) manual.

I've driven it more than anyone, (only had 6 miles this morning) Took 45 min test drive all around town :)

m3chhawk 06-15-2013 04:08 PM

We need some more white and red around town. Buy it. Take one for the team.

JacksonZ33 06-15-2013 04:16 PM

I LOVE black, but need a change up.

The pearl white is scary, being something happens never get to match.

Like the midnight navy blue too...

pbhakta 06-15-2013 04:40 PM
