We have talked about some cruises when we get some good weather... maybe next spring. The big thing is making sure the group obeys the law... we don't want to get our cruises shut down like some others have been.

I'm making my cabin reservation this week to be sure I'm where the action is! Cruise down on the Parkway if you want or get it over with shorter by taking 81 down.

Weather guessers say 30pct chance of snow on Saturday. Unless its bad I am gonna head up to Fairfax Starbucks for coffee at 10AM.

Now the weather guessers say the snow won't happen until Sunday so it looks like Tomorrow (Sat.) will be sunny and cold. Perfect!

If The Smurf was able to make it, I'd go....but she's injured. Won't have her back til next Friday. :icon14:

Holy Bustedness!!! I'm sick just looking at that. Whats the story? As far as the reservations they haven't started yet for Zdays but you can get a room or cabin where it will take place before they are all gone.

Heavy rains from Wednesday + RE-11's + dark roads = thilling yet scary as hell drive. Happened when I was going to Altered to get the RE-11's switched back to the stock tires & rims. Fell short about 1 1/2 miles. I either overcompensated for the road as it was curving to the left or maybe my back wheels let go.....either way, I ended up crossing the double yellow and once I realized it I tried to shoot back over to the right side of the road and the point I decided to do that, there was a median just starting. I just barely clipped the median sign and snapped my drivers side mirror off.

Doesn't look that, right? Try $4800 in damage. :shakes head: But, the good thing is....I didn't damage the Volk's or the RE-11's! They'll be back on next Spring! :tup:

Oh, but I did rip my Stillen exhaust almost off my car. I scuffed up the pipes pretty bad. Altered is gonna fabricate a titanium pair for me! So.....new tips, new repairs, and the engine is still ok. And all the other upgrades are still ok, too....thank goodness! Could have been wayyyy worse.

Wow, thats awful stuff Tony but as you said could have been alot worse. I was wondering about those RE-11s and the Volks but again you did not damage them either. You'll be back up to snuff in short order. Hang in there brother! So now make plans to go to Zdays with the rest of us and it'll give you something to be looking forward to after you get the smurfmobile back.

Seriously though, sorry to see that ugly mess. At least it can be fixed. Oh and call that number if you really are planning on heading down in May. The cabins and rooms fill up fast for this event. There's plenty of other lodging options, but staying at Fontana is the best since that's the home base for everything, esp. the parties at night. :excited:

Man what a great day to be out! There were a few more cars at 10AM at the Starbucks in Fairfax but still plenty of room. Sat for awhile just drinking my mocha and catching some rays.
