Mid-Atlantic 370Z Owner's Club - September 19th - Z's & Beer in Annapolis @ 5PM

On Saturday, September 19th the semi-official, potentially serious Mid-Atlantic 370Z Owner's Club will celebrate it's second meeting of 2009 with great food and even greater beer at Gordon Biersch in Annapolis, MD.

This is a dinner meet, so we'll plan on showing up about 30-45 minutes before our reservations to go over our Z's and otherwise prepare for the food and beer that awaits. I encourage you all to bring a guest if anything to serve as your designated driver *cough* lance *cough.* Seriously, though, if you guys plan on having more than a few drinks bring someone who can drive home.

I plan on bringing my girlfriend. She sort of knows how to drive the Z. :icon18:

I will post times, parking information, and detailed directions when we get closer to the 19th, but plan on showing up at around 6PM for reservations at 7ish.

For driving directions, reference Lance's post here: http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...tml#post152309

Post up if you think you can make it and if you'll be bringing a guest. I need a reliable headcount for the reservations.

Also, if you want access to the MAZOC user-group send me a PM and I will invite you.

Update: It is a minimum of $4,000 to rent GB's "party room," so we are most likely going to have to call ahead or just put our names on the list and wait a while for them to get enough tables together for us. The manager I talked to said that on a Saturday night this would be a ~1.5 hour wait.

Update 2: Gordon Biersch will not work with us and reserve a party of 14-16. They say that they have too many larger parties that night and can't reserve a table for us, so we will have to put our names on the waiting list if we eat there. I'm guessing the wait would be around 1.5-2 hours so we'll want to show up, get our names on the list, and then just hang out and talk cars while we wait. If necessary, there are some other dining options in the Annapolis Towne Center, including Brio and PF Changs. I'll keep you guys posted, but at this time plan on being at the Towne Center by 6:30 PM. Hopefully we'll be able to start eating by 9!!!

WE ARE MEETING AT 5PM IN THE GORDON BIERSCH LOT

If you are coming and don't have my Cell #, PM me and I will send it to you.

The List:
1. m4a1mustang + 1
2. zZSportZz
3. tooohip
4. 2theextreme + 1
5. ZCarMan + 1
6. Lone Wolf 75
7. Jon@Altered + 3 GTR Drivers
8. AAM COMP

tooohip 08-12-2009 06:52 PM

I'm there! I'll bring the Taurus! :roflpuke2: Not sure on guest yet or not, but lean towards not as she's a punk arse! ;-)

2theextreme 08-12-2009 07:37 PM

I'm in.....and I'll try to bring a guest.

ZCarMan 08-12-2009 08:30 PM

Count me in! I will plan on bringing one guest.

m4a1mustang 08-12-2009 08:41 PM

Awesome! Hoping we can get everyone from last time plus some more. I can already taste the chicken parmesan and marzen!

Lone Wolf 75 08-12-2009 08:47 PM

I'm in. I'll see about doing what I can to invite a guest, err, designated driver. As of now it is only me, I'll let you know if that changes.

2theextreme 08-12-2009 08:47 PM

I'm a virgin to this place....take it easy on me! :p

Thanks! I figured it would work because it was me and the 370Z.

I've been to the Gordon Biersch in San Francisco - I had no idea they have one here now. I'm looking forward to some good beer (I'm kind of a beer snob, ha ha) and decent food.

m4a1mustang 08-12-2009 08:58 PM

I'm thinking that those of us in NoVA could cruise up together.

:iagree: That'd work for me! I admit I don't get out much and just drive around. I hate that "lost" feeling! :bowrofl:

Jon@Altered 08-13-2009 09:31 AM

In like Flynn. I'll be there taking photos and meeting the rest of the Mid A 370Z folk!

m4a1mustang 08-13-2009 09:35 AM

Awesome! Flying solo or bringing a guest?

tooohip 08-13-2009 09:44 AM

Anyone have a real address or one that google maps can actually find? Is there adequate parking as well? I've never been, thus the question. Often in Annapolis you have to use garage parking.

The address is listed as:
1906 Towne Centre Boulevard, Suite 155
Annapolis, MD 21401

Good luck finding that on a map. ;-) I tried it in Google and then went to street view, which shows it to be around a bunch of auto service business, but no Biersch.

m4a1mustang 08-13-2009 09:51 AM

Yeah, I'm going to post the directions this afternoon which are a little confusing. Annapolis Towne Center is so new that the true address is not on the map. You have to use a nearby proxy which I will post.

As far as parking goes... it looks like garage parking will be it so I'm not sure how that's going to work out! I might drive up to Annapolis this weekend or next to scout it out.

Yeah me too, I'm pretty close. I think I found it and if I did, it may be surface parking... Will know for sure this weekend though.

Ok, well let me know what you find out this weekend so I can add it to the first post. Surface parking would be great as long as we can all find a row together.

Will do... I think someone here posted that they were actually at the Biersch this weekend, so hopefully they can chime in as well.

Hey, Z's only! I guess we can make an exception... you can park with us...

but you can't eat. :icon18::icon18::happydance:

I <3 my Honda. ;)

I live very close to Annapolis, and I'm usually out there every weekend, so I've been to the new Towne Center several times. There's a large garage right near Target that you guys can park in, but there's really no places in the new Towne Center to actually congregate and hang out. Is everyone going to pregame somewhere else before hand?

I was thinking we'd try to park in a group and hang out for a little bit before actually going in to eat. If we're able to park fairly close together in the garage that'd be fine.

Alrighty guys... Dial in 2505 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 which will get you real close. If coming from the west which most of us will be, you will get to that address then go another 300 feet or so and make a right turn on Town Centre Blvd. After you make that turn, you'll see Gordon Biersch up on the left right next to a turn about. There's a surface lot right next to it. To enter that lot, go up and around the turn about, then you'll see the parking lot entrance on the right. Here's some pics:

2theextreme 08-15-2009 05:53 PM

Thanks for posting pics!

Now, the real question is....did you go in and eat, too? :p

You a hurricane hunter or something? :icon18:

ZCarMan 08-16-2009 09:31 PM

Thanks for the pics, that makes it easy! I was just thinking, I haven't been to Gordon Biersch since sheesh, 2003 or 2004. Way too long!

m4a1mustang 08-16-2009 09:34 PM

Updated the first post to reference Lance's directions.

Jon@Altered 08-17-2009 10:30 AM

Nice pics Lance. I was down there on Saturday too, in the Whole Foods right next door. Picture reference definitely helps the out of town guys. I figure we could do a photoshoot in the Target parking garage somewhere? If there's space. I know you're going to bring the professional cam equipment...

You want to do it in the garage, not outside? That surface lot is right next to GB.

m4a1mustang 08-17-2009 11:19 AM

I plan on parking right next to GB!

Lone Wolf 75 08-17-2009 11:37 AM

My only concern is that I think it might be a little difficult to park in a row next to GB, especially in Annapolis on a Saturday evening. The parking garage may be tough too, but maybe we will luck out on one of the upper levels. Does the garage have roof parking? I was thinking it might be cool to get a group shot with the Z's lined up and a high vantage point of Annapolis in the background (probably would require a stepladder and some creative thinking, but this could work).
