Saturday, August the 8th - Northern VA 370Zs & Starbucks meet

1 Attachment(s)
Come join your fellow Northern VA (and maybe even some MD guys) 370Z drivers for some early morning coffee at the Starbucks at East Market at Fairlakes (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...9367464&li=lmd). We'll start bright and early at 8:30AM Saturday the 8th of August so we all can go about the rest of our days.

Post here if you can make it, I'll update the list.

Attached is a nifty photoshopped map of the location. East Market at Fairlakes is right off of Highway 66 and is easily accessible by taking the Fairfax County Parkway exit. East Market is home to ****'s Sporting Goods and Kohls... you can see both from the highway.

Check this thread for updates.

I will also have my DSLR handy for some pics.

Attending:

1. m4a1mustang - Solid Red 6MT Touring/Sport
2. tooohip - Chicane Yellow 6MT Touring/Sport
3. 2theextreme - Monterrey Blue 7AT, lots of bolt ons!!!
4. VADSG - Chicane Yellow 6MT Touring/Sport
5. ZCarMan - Magnetic Black 6MT Touring/Sport
6. zZSportZz - Magnetic Black 6MT
7. Lone Wolf 75 - Platinum Gray 6MT

tooohip 07-31-2009 06:37 AM

See you all there!

2theextreme 07-31-2009 07:04 PM

Damn. I'm sure we'll be there for at least an hour. :driving:

If there's enough interest from the MD guys I will look for a location that would be a little farther north for next time.

zZSportZz 07-31-2009 10:41 PM

I'm down here......

Map of California, MD by MapQuest

But I'll make it anyway :) I have not seen 2theextreme's car since the altered meet :)

Well, this means I gotta get with Altered this coming week and get a few things fixed on the car. I wanna look good for the meet!

1. Get the O2 sensor issue fixed so that darn SES light is off
2. Marry up the TPMS with the new Volks.....the TPMS light is on
3. Gotta get my passenger side Stillen exhaust pipe lined back up straight....seems it moved to the left for some reason
4. Dyno #3!
5. May have to raise the car a little.....got a front tire rub issue with the fender....on both tires (rear tires are money!)

But, I know Altered will fix me up and have me looking good by next Saturday! :)

I'm just going to wash mine and that's it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing and hearing your car!

That's cool....I've not seen a solid red in person. From what I've seen from pictures on here that color looks really nice!

We need a pearl white, platinum graphite, & silver so we could get a photo op of all the colors. Did I miss one or did I get all the colors accounted for?

It does! I did my first major detail on this car two weeks ago and it looks great. I will probably do a light detail again late next week to get it all nice and pretty.

Pic from detail attached --- wheel is photoshopped. I think I am going to have them powdercoated gunmetal... I fell in love with the look of the Ferrari F430 16M.

This is going to end badly for me, since I've made the decision to add any mod money I was planning to my house account...and after seeing your car I know I will get the itch and will have to keep reminding myself...of house first! This will end badly. Its like inviting a recovering addict to a crack party :)

2theextreme 07-31-2009 11:00 PM

Question for my MD/VA folks.....what do you all think of the CF B Pillars and the CF Rear Valence?

:icon18: Oh my! Please don't blame me for spending money on your Z.....I think a couple others on here already have! :bowrofl:

m4a1mustang 07-31-2009 11:02 PM

I'm not really a huge CF fan but I think it will look good with your black wheels.

Yeah, I'm trying to be responsible and save up about 6 months worth of extra income before I do anything else to the Z... not going to happen.

Yeah....that red looks really nice!

Does the CF Rear Valence cover up the butthole?

You know....I never noticed that but it looks like it does:

http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/SSPX1808.jpg

I wonder what that will do since I already purchased the rear fog light....will this CF defeat the purpose of it?

m4a1mustang 07-31-2009 11:07 PM

Just cut out the butt hole and stick it in there.

2theextreme 07-31-2009 11:14 PM

 Good idea....my OCD kicks in when I start worrying I'm overdoing the aftermarket stuff...don't wanna make the car look too "trashy", I guess is the right word.

I'll try to make this. There's a slim possibility that I might have to work on Saturday morning, but I won't know for certain until later in the week. I hope not, because it certainly would be nice to meet up with some of the local Z owners.

Paul

ZCarMan 08-01-2009 03:38 PM

I haven't made up my mind about the CF pillars or rear valence. I guess I would have to see them installed myself to really make up my mind. The pics I've seen don't really do much for me but I know how pics can sometimes be off. I'm anxious to see 2theextreme's mods to really get a good feel for them. Lucky for us we'll get to do that on the 8th.

;) I'm working on getting those few minor "tweeks" taken care of this week so it's ready for next saturday. :)

MightyBobo 08-02-2009 06:50 PM

Curse you all! I work Saturdays :(

Dang, that sucks! No chance of getting the day off....or maybe part of the day? I know, that'd probably make for a long drive back and forth....but the more the merrier! Hopefully you can make it!

Definitely not, sadly. Every weekday we have double coverage, but weekends, I need 2 weeks notice to get off.
