I made it home in one piece! And no tickets that I know of!! It was well worth the drive to meet you guys (and the redhead) and your Z's. Pictures came out great. Took me six hours and one Whopper to get back. Took the scenic route through western MD and WVa. Some nice Autobahn like highways there :driving:!! My last hour was driving in the pouring rain . I will give the girl a nice bath tomorrow.

I'll make sure to check back regularly, and I will try to make any other meets and/or drive you might organize.

If there were an endurance or dedication award for this event, you would have won. I know that route pretty well as I travel back and forth to Pittsburgh and to Western Maryland a lot. Scenic Route 40 is really sweet and parallels I-68. If you were in no hurry and headed a little south, 219 gets pretty curvy once you pass the windmills and you get into West VA and drive through the Monongahela National Forest. But, I digress, that is likely further south. How did the 370z do on the trip? I'm guessing if it was a pain (or as uncomfortable as say the backseat of a Volkswagen) to drive for hours you wouldn't have made the trip.

Heres the photos I took. I didn't take many as I knew others had a much better camera than I did:

I know I mentioned this while there, but it's somewhat interesting that we ALL have the sport package. ;-)

Thats because its teh sex. Honestly, I love the OEM sport package wheels. I'm just trying to figure out what to do to them to make them unique. Maybe powder coat the spokes black and keep the lip silver or something to set off the handles. Not sure...sigh.

Or pony up the cash for these (I mentioned these today). They would be sick on a black car.

Those are very nice looking!

I had family coming to town so I could not make it out. Although, I do not have the sport package so I probably would have been booted out. :-)
I will try to make it out next time since I at least have a PW!

Don't gimme a reason to hop in my Z again! You know it only takes a Venti White Mocha to get me there!

The drive back was a blast. Put the radar detector on and it saved me one ticket. I truly could drive the Z all day long. I made one stop to get a Whopper, pee and get gas, somewhere in Morgantown. It is too bad that we don't have any great drives her in NE Ohio. The roads are pot hole filled and bumpy. It was nice to drive on smooth highways again. I averaged 26 MPG, which is fantastic, and 64 MPH average speed on my trip back and forth.

I will be posting another thread shortly so we can talk about the next meet (GB in Annapolis). I think maybe sometime in the fall when we get cooler weather we should also try and do a cruise out to Skyline Drive.

That's awesome! I love this car on trips long and short. It's a perfect sports car and GT car all wrapped into one.

A couple more pics from me. I was experimenting a bit with shooting in RAW and made some noob mistakes so maybe only 10 of the 100 photos I took came out half decent. :icon18:

I still can't believe how much attention our group was getting. People would just circle our line of Z's and gawk. Camera phone pics and stares galore. Love it!

JvKintheUSA 08-08-2009 09:22 PM

I am beat. Was up at 3am..time to catch some zzzz's :rofl2: Good nite ya'll!
