 Okay then, by the numbers:

1. How can you feel the wind if you're not driving the car?
2. You don't even have hair that can permit wind to blow through it?! :bowrofl:
3. How can you hear an exhaust growl without driving it?

Or do you just sit in your driveway with a blow-dryer revving the motor??

:inoutroflpuke: :bowrofl:

eastwest2300 04-01-2013 02:40 PM

hahahaha... come on man, any chance I get to drive the s2000 in nice weather, you bet your azz the top is down.. and believe it or not, I feel the wind justa blowin in my hair...the little bit that i have.

So then stop complaining about dates where you can DRIVE YOUR CAR to get the WIND IN YOUR HAIR and HEAR EXHAUST GRUMBLE. :icon17:

Why didn't you get a vert Z then? Curious... It has both options in one.

I bought the Z before buying the s2000, and I never had a convertible. If I could do it all over again, I probably would have.

You can be at the back so you don't obstruct everyone's vision with your ginormous wing :bowrofl:

RandyD 04-13-2013 05:44 AM

just so this doesn't get blown out of proportion...

we will not be racing around - safety first.

but there will be Cristobal09++ speeds at some points probably.

That's funny because I think Ron said he got better MPG when he was behind me... :icon17: Of course there was no way I could compete with the Maxima draft, but what can you do..

m4a1mustang 04-14-2013 05:24 PM

Randy, where exactly are we meeting in the morning?

And do you have a concrete route yet with a lunch stop?

chieuxuan 04-14-2013 07:13 PM

If all back roads toward B'more, I'm in. I just need to get to work by 12:30 sharp.

dmhenderson 04-14-2013 07:49 PM

I need to see the route we're going. If this ends over an hour from where I live, we may not do the whole thing. We'll definitely do leesburg to harpers ferry though.

RandyD 04-14-2013 08:44 PM

Starting and Ending place will be Leesburg outlet mall - in front of the Panera Bread on the corner. They are open in the morning and you can get a drink and bagel or something...

215 Fort Evans Road Northeast
Leesburg, VA 20176

The morning run will first go south along the Shenandoah River - then across and back up into Harpers Fery - this will be a good lunch stop

then from there some more back roads over the hills back into Leesburg.

dmhenderson 04-14-2013 08:49 PM

I need some high quality road shots for my show board. Anyone want to volunteer?

m4a1mustang 04-14-2013 08:56 PM

Not really sure if well be able to get any good rolling shots on this one. Roads are likely going to be all fast and one lane.

I had a photographer from a local NoVA camera shop take some running pictures of my car. One of them is my profile pic.

He said he would be available to do this for a group at only a small amount per car. I got my set of about 20 pics for under $100, and i had some additional editing work because we used a rig to shoot some of the shots, and he had to edit those out. We would not have to have him do the editing if we do running shots. We could work out the details with him if we're interested as a group.

If not as a group, pm me if you are interested in having this done.

there is one stretch of Rt 7 getting to the mountains...

m4a1mustang 04-15-2013 07:05 AM

3 lanes? Need spacing for good rolling shots.

The trouble is lighting... broad daylight stinks. It's always better with in the golden hour but I suppose we could try if we get the chance.

If my S2k isn't done before the cruise I'll be riding with Ron, so I'd be able to shoot.
