We are proud to welcome DC Rollergirls as a sponsor for this event. The DC Rollergirls are proud members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (Home - Women), the national governing body for women’s amateur flat track roller derby. WFTDA is comprised of skater-owned and operated leagues nationwide that have united to lead this growing sport.

The non-profit league is run entirely by the skaters, who contribute their free time and talents to manage the business side of the league everything from organizing fundraising events to designing promotional materials. The DC Rollergirls also maintain a strong sense of pride in the community by partnering with local charities and participating in local events. The leagues vision is to promote athleticism, diversity and roller derby, and foster self-worth, personal strength, and female empowerment.

Currently the league is composed of four competitive home teams; DC Demon Cats, Scare Force One, Cherry Blossom Bombshells, and Majority Whips. These teams practice several times a week in order to compete against each other for the season’s championship. The league is also composed of a DC All-Star Team which competes against other National leagues in WFTDA sanctioned bouts, the ultimate prize being the WFTDA championship trophy, the Hydra.

You can see them compete at their next scheduled bout at the Dulles Sports Plex on November 17th and then again at the DC Armory on December 8th. Make sure you stop by and check out their booth during the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET and you can also visit them on the Web at DC Rollergirls.

We are proud to welcome AAM Competition as a sponsor for this event. AAM Competition is the premier Nissan/Infiniti Full Service, CNC Manufacturing, Fabrication, Tuning, and Maintenance Facility on the East Coast. They are not your average performance shop. Not only do they specialize in engine/transmission builds, tuning, and maintenance but they also engineer, manufacturer, and R&D their own parts. The term “you get what you pay for” goes a long way with them and they make sure every product designed, developed, and manufactured at AAM Competition leaves the door with top notch material, craftsmanship, and performance. Check out their website at AAM Competition - Nissan GT-R, 370Z Turbo Performance Specialists. They will be offering all customers 10% off any single AAM Competition product during the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET, so don’t forget to swing by their booth!

The Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET (MAMM) is a non-profit organization. We have never made any money off any of the events that we have organized and never will as long as I am in charge. The main charity for this event is the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program and representatives will be onsite to collect brand new, unopened, and unwrapped toys. However if you forget to bring a toy, there will be a donation jug located at the MAMM booth where you can drop off cash donations. The second charity for this event is to help Tutti Frutti / BonChon Chicken continue their efforts of helping people that were affected by Hurricane Sandy. There will be another donation jug located at the MAMM booth were you can drop off cash donations that will go directly to the American Red Cross. You can also drop off canned foods and clothes at the MAMM booth to help the relief efforts. All cash that is collected in both of these donation jugs will go directly to support what they are intended for. Funds that were received for the vendor booths will assist in paying for the off duty police officers. We are going to end the 2012 season with a bang!

I left. I'm watching the game now. AAM was there and I did see a shift.tv badged car.

Also, you know what's loud? A SRT viper with long tube headers parked behind you that won't stop revving his engine.
