blades if youre in GB, swing by Wood Floors Plus next to the MVA (I worked there for 3 years) in their pro shop they have rubber gloves. One of the ladies that work there buys it to dye her hair LOL so it must be somewhat worthy

Hey guys, as much as I wanted to do my headlights. I will NOT be able to attend due to a few recent changes in my schedule :(
Note: I am NOT AFRAID of messing up my headlights since everyone will be doing theirs also and it's an experiment we can't mess up. However, if anyone would be able to help me out in the future. Please let me know!! would be very much appreciated!!

Sales@AAMComp 09-12-2012 11:26 AM

I'll also double check today when I get home to see if I have any

People had things turn up... we shouldnt have waited for over a month to do this perhaps.. maybe a couple weeks, you think?

Sales@AAMComp 09-12-2012 11:33 AM

I have a huge list of events coming up, both club related and work related that I have to attend. Every weekend up until November I'm either booked sat or sun but whatever it is I will try to make it as long as it's not like 2 hours away lol plus we should try to attempt this before it gets too cold, for the sake of paint drying properly

Sounds great !! please update

b1adesofcha0s 09-12-2012 11:45 AM

I wanted to see how they came out before trying it on my own. I know Rob (MightyBobo) felt the same way, so we might do it together if it turns out well.

You know Wal-mart probably has them somewhere. I'll check Auto Zone too, since I have to stop by there this week. If none of those places has any, I'll stop by the Wood Floors place.

eastwest2300 09-12-2012 11:51 AM

Im off to work fellas, 2pm-10pm.. so I wont be able to check the forum for some time.. yall have a good day!

MyKindaGuise 09-13-2012 09:07 AM

So if I come its what 4 people? WTH happened?

dmhenderson 09-13-2012 09:21 AM

Come anyway. 4 people means we can get 4 cars done and if you bring your mechanic friend, we're straight.

Really we'd be pushing it to try to do more than 3-4 anyway because it's a LONG process. Good food/drink, cars and a couple dogs.

dmhenderson 09-13-2012 09:22 AM

People either made other commitments or chickened out ;)

We have all the materials we need at this point. Giant actually sells those gloves so I picked up a package last night.

You could grab a pizza though if you want to bring something.

Sales@AAMComp 09-13-2012 09:28 AM

can someone post the location or PM me

also is there anything I can bring? depending on the location I'm out of AAM at 2:30 and that's in savage, MD so I'll be going straight there from here

Cristobal09 09-13-2012 09:29 AM

I hope you guys have a decent turnout!

take lots of pics!

Yeah he cant go. He recently got a new job and they have him working weekends and off during the middle of the week. Its mega dumb. I can take bumper off though with no problem. :happydance:

Well I was only coming down to help out and stuff not actually do the mod so I dont have paint or anything. Maybe I need to get me some. Where did you all buy yours at? I need a light blue/electric blue.

I can bring the shop dslr :D

b1adesofcha0s 09-13-2012 09:47 AM

Well I think we decided to only do like 4 people the first day just so we don't overload ourselves and everyone else seemed to just drop out. I'm still not 100% on whether I want to do this or not so I'm gonna see how they turn out first. I only really want to get the fly out of my headlight.

We'd be better off ordering/picking up pizza in the afternoon when we all get hungry.

Paint is available at Walmart, but not sure if they have that color.

MyKindaGuise 09-13-2012 10:25 AM

I think I will be using this

Krylon 12 oz Fusion Gloss for Plastic, Patriotic Blue: Paint & Home Decor : Walmart.com

b1adesofcha0s 09-13-2012 10:31 AM

That should work

People have sh1t to do, or this or that came up.. it really doesnt matter, 3 or 4 is perfect, we should be able to get everyone's car done.

Hey is there any way you could meet up at 8 or 9am? just for that purpose of pulling off the bumper, dude, honestly..if you wanna come up friday night, we could hit the town, and you can crash at my place. Then Saturday morning, we can knock this sh1t out.

LMAO the woman would kill me since that is our only night to see each other. If it wasnt that way I would totally take you up on the offer.

I am going to aim for 9am arrival. Can someone message me the address again because I think its like 3 hours away if I recall.

Yeah I think I'm going to plan on being at your place at 9:30-10 or so. I have to pick up the wings in Cloverly and there's no sense in making 2 trips.

That work?

b1adesofcha0s 09-13-2012 01:04 PM

That works better since I won't be there till 10-11 to help with bumper removal.

Sales@AAMComp 09-13-2012 01:07 PM

in for slumber party

Sales@AAMComp 09-13-2012 01:08 PM

I mentioned this from the beginning :icon17:

eastwest2300 09-13-2012 01:29 PM

I dont see what the issue is.. i've done oil, trans, & diff changes on both my cars on the street..

b1adesofcha0s 09-13-2012 01:38 PM

Mostly space, but we don't know how often other cars drive down that road. Could be a safety issue as well. Don't want to be underneath the car if some idiot not paying attention drives by and bumps into it.
