awesome freaking route!!

had a blast today

the route was really great, but we broke away from the crowd and the red GTR leading was going really slow. We were essentially going the speed limit for the whole trip, lol. Also our group went to wrong way twice so we all had to pull 3 point turns in the middle of the road. Otherwise it was really great to see the R32 and R33 and drive with them for a bit. I also got to meet Bert and see his sparkly roof which he shows off with a flashlight.

Had an awesome time today! Definitely one of the best cruises I've been to. A lot of that I think was because of the pace we kept up. The slow group and fast group split idea worked perfectly. I think we should try it out on our next cruise if we have enough cars. :tup:

Ahh that sucks dude. I know Bertaut (who was right behind me) and I had a blast and the pace in our group was pretty good. Though I will say I was more than keeping up with the Elise in front of me :driving:

:icon18: It was great meeting you today Andrew, your Nismo looks amazing and I wiped off a drool seeing you roll down the hill with it among all the crazy GTRs. I got a great use for my flashlight in my Z :tup:
We def had the fun & wild group today, there were some hair-raising turns and some sweet music from the exhaust going through a couple of tunnels. I was surprised to see how well Shahid & I kept up with the GTRs during the cruise. I hope you get with our group at the next go Andrew.

I was very surprised at the lack of cops during the 60mi cruise considering the speed we were traveling at and how loud some of the cars were.

Sweet pics! Why was everyone stopped in the third to last pic? Did another GTR go off the road?
EDIT: I see on FB they are saying that GTR has a intake problem or something.

I was watching a video of the run and i realized you guys passed that roundabout in the 1st group and it was the second group behind you where a GTR went to make a crazy double yellow pass and flew off the road. He beat his GTR up pretty good, someone quoted on FB $15k in damage!

$15K in damage.... ouch. :facepalm:

That was an interesting story. I think one of the GT-R's had a problem with an intake coming off or something so he pulled into that side road to check it out. Everyone behind him in that group just stopped in the road to wait for him and we pretty much took over the road for like 5-10 mins. Once the problem was fixed, we all ran back to our cars and were back at cruising pace immediately, pretty much like a League Mans style start :tup:

yeah that was Derrick's GT-R. We just put on his I/C pipe kit and the sucker blew off already, quite embarassing since the car goes into super dummy mode when this happens.

luckily he had his cobb unit on him, we were able to tighten everything back up, reset his code, and he was back on the roads fine again
