from what I understand

we were on a 2 lane road, ready to hit a round-a-bout
this GTR tries to act a fool and pass another GTR by going against on coming traffic
went against the flow of the roundabout, probably at a higher speed than he wanted to
ending up clipping the smooth curb against the roundabout, caught air
jumped a pretty steep mound and ending up in the fields

bear in mind we were less than 1 mile (out of 60) on the cruise, everyone was a little ricer happy out the gate

speedfreek 10-01-2012 11:06 AM

Wow that is crazy. As they say money can't buy sense. But all is forgiven if he yelled "YEEEHAAAAW" once air born....well at least bonus points for going all Dukes of Hazzard in a GT-R. I am sure everyone else is glad he didn't clip them or crash into them during the process.

Sales@AAMComp 10-01-2012 11:16 AM

yeah luckily no other GTRs were involved and everyone walked away with laughter and no tears

:p

Looks like you all had a blast!

I heard on FB that cops showed up at the accident scene and said people were calling them saying they were getting run off the road by us...the cop asked which way we went and he was promptly pointed in the wrong direction..*or so i hear*

That's where you're wrong. The people who were actually cruising had 0 issues with cops and not a single one was nearby on our 60 mile route. This one that came afterwards was there long after we left. It was an awesome experience and you definitely missed out on some fun.

Only took me half a tank to drive all the way to Frederick, cruise, and then drive all the way back home. Considering lunch was free, not a bad deal IMO. Car show, cruise, and lunch for like $30 is not bad at all.

NissanGuy23 10-01-2012 02:57 PM

b1adesofcha0s 10-01-2012 07:53 PM

AAM I think is looking to setup another one soon, but probably won't be as big as this one. Should still be fun though

b1adesofcha0s 10-01-2012 07:54 PM

Did I mention that gold GT-R was pushing 1000 WHP and the guy who owned it has a Z roadster in the shop that he's working on getting to about 700 WHP. He came all the way down from NY for this event and he was pretty cool.
