It has been a long six months since our last event but the wait is finally over! You are cordially invited to attend the 2012 “Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET” Season Opener hosted by Performance Tuning (PTUNING) on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 12-5 pm. PTUNING (9432 Center Point Lane, Manassas, VA 20110) has been in business since 1998 and was added as a sponsor at the beginning of 2012. They are a 15,000+ square foot auto care and performance service center that can handle dyno tuning, touchless wheel mounting, custom wheel alignment, as well as general and performance parts installation services and maintenance. There will be live DJ performances, media coverage by Mischief.tv, and a highest horsepower dyno competition. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks will be for sale and all of the proceeds will be donated to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Admission is free so bring the entire family and show up early in order to get a good parking spot.

Highest Horsepower Dyno Competition:

PTUNING’s state-of-the-art enclosed dyno facility is equipped with a Dyno Dynamics AWD (2400 whp steady state) quad retarder loading dyno. There will be two classes to include “All Motor” and “Forced Induction”. Winners are based on horsepower percentage per cylinder which basically gives every car a fair chance. 1st Place “Highest All Motor Horsepower” and 1st Place “Highest Forced Induction Horsepower” of the day will each receive a $150 gift card for servicing at PTUNING. 2nd Place “Highest All Motor Horsepower” and 2nd Place “Highest Forced Induction Horsepower” of the day will each receive a free PTUNING t-shirt. All participants need to be on site at the end of the event in order to receive their prize, or it will go to the runner up. Pricing is as follows: RWD or FWD is $50 with AFR reading + printout! AWD is $60 with AFR reading + printout! PTUNING needs at least 8 cars (12 max) confirmed and pre-paid prior to the event in order to hold the competition. Please contact PTUNING (andrew@ptuning.com or 703-257-1728) in order to sign up. NOTE: Cars that are confirmed to be dyno'd must be in good running order. PTUNING likes to keep their dyno and dyno room clean so if your car is leaking any fluids, etc., PTUNING reserves the right to NOT dyno your car.

I missed it last year. Hope to make it this year. Its the week after Carlilse Sport and Style. If nothing bad happens on the autocross track(god forbid) I should be able to make it.

Yeah....but I'm doing the right thing. Don't have the $$$. Maybe I can still make it to Z Nationals. Even if I miss that, Ztoberfest in Richmond, VA is that same weekend.

There is a car show on 3 June in Manassass, VA. I'll probably hit that one up, too. And if all goes well, I'll be going to the Mid-A Mega Meet this coming weekend. So...just because I missed ZDayZ doesn't mean the car show season is over. :tup:

Same reason here for not going to ZDayZ this year. I am planning on going next year though. Wish I could go to this Mid-A Mega Meet too, but I have more important things to do that day ;)

Why do all the cool car events always happen when I'm busy!

I didt wreck at Carlisle, so I will be there. I still need to fork over some cash for my Uprev Tune so it will be 2 birds with one stone for me.

I'm tentative on this event right now. I'd like to get down there and meet the people that will be doing my tune though!

Might as well get the tuning done while you're there.

I figured they'd be busy with the event and their dyno is going to be in use for their #s competition they're doing.

I live in Culpeper so its a strait shot up 28 for me, did you guys want to meet in Manassas somewhere and cruise in together? The Manassas mall is only a couple of miles from there and they would have plenty of space to meet if you like, or I am open to anything. There is the Manassas Meet spot but I have a feeling some of the other groups will meet up there. :tup:

I want to see Tony make his car jump Jump haha. My new KW Suspension came in today! can't wait to have it installed... Eibach Sways, KW V1 Coilovers, SPC F/R camber, GTSPEC body bracing over the whole car!

What a great event….that is how we like to kick-off the 2012 season! Mother Nature provided us once again with beautiful weather and the lot was packed with nothing but quality. “THANK YOU” to everyone who attended, all of the PTUNING and Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET staff, and the volunteers for helping to make this meet so successful. To everyone that attended to the Mega Meet event. I wanted to say thank you for coming
to the event and it was the best awesome turn out as we never expect to see it coming.
Parking was packed and it was so crazy we had to relocate all the incoming cars to different
parking lot. I hope you guy enjoyed the event and we look forward to do other event
this year. Thank you for coming!
