Unbolt the bitch, install new gaskets with the new exhaust, etc. Seriously man, the cat-back is a joke to install. Just get an air ratchet to get those bolts off. If they're seized, cut 'em off. Easy.

I totally get it. Not trying to say you were. Just explaing what you are seeing. Throw your stock cats back on if you believe there is a problem with your vehicle. But i'll tell you right now that the codes you are seeing tells me there isn't a thing wrong with your car. How you want to handle it is up to you. But don't take it to the dealer like that and ask for a check up. They'll see the aftermarket **** and bill you anyway.

Good luck!

oh yeah lol, I'm not retarded haha. I don't mind the code, so long as the fuel trim system doesn't **** up.

It looks pretty easy looking it up online, just don't a lift or anything to lift the car other than two jacks.

It's do-able with jack stands and so on in a drive way but if you can get it on a lift I would highly recommend it. I helped putting my CBE on at my buddies shop and it was a PITA even on a lift. A couple of the bolts coming off the cats were stuck and required some persuasion to get off. Also the rubber hangers can be difficult sometimes. Also checking clearances is easier on a lift. After a week or so my CBE had to be adjusted because it settled and started rattling on a cross brace.

I do agree with Tigger installing a CBE is one of the easier DIYs but stuck bolts can make it a PITA. Get/borrow an impact wrench and something to cut bolts. Stuck bolts coming off the cats is a normal issue. Also have extra bolts and seals just in case. Some CBE kits require you to use the stock bolts coming off the cats so if you have to cut a bolt it would be good idea to have extras.

FYI if you choose to not DIY it and take it some where it should only take a hour at the most but some places will quote 2 hours. Mine took 50 min even with stuck bolts at my buddies shop.

I have access to plenty of power tools and all, but its the pain of lifting the car to deal with. Worst case scenario I will find somewhere local to do a quick install while I'm grabbing lunch/going to see a movie. Really hoping the non-res exhausted isn't crazy loud.

We'll I have some jack stands, 4 I think.
You're welcome to borrow them.
I do have a jack but I don't think it will fit under a 370Z
I orginally got it for my uhm, "other car". :roflpuke2:

Don't forget that there is a jack with the spare tire.
Well at least my Z has one.
It might not be the best way to get the car lifted but a least it will work.

It helps to get a larger jack under it. Just be mindful when lowering again. You screw that up and you might really jack your **** up.

Kinda last minute, but I'm thinking of hitting up a Starbucks in Virginia Beach later tonight. Anyone down?
