Yeah, 2009+ Maximas only come with the CVT trans. His ride had basic boltons like intake, exhaust, BOP's. You can remove the ABS relay fuse which kind of helps steady the dyno pulls, but the rubber band trans is still doing its job of trying to find the best ratio even when in manual mode.

Here is a 350Z we just tuned today. 4/4/2012

Car spec's:
2004 350z
Tranny: MT
Mods: Nismo Cold Air intake, Magnaflow Cat back, Under-drive pulleys, Plenum spacer.

The car made 248.3 hp, and 234.7 FtLb
