Z Odyssey Car Show - 5 May, 2012 @ Hampton, VA
 

The Tidewater Z Car Club will hold its Annual Z Odyssey Car Show at Pomoco Nissan, 1134 W. Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA 23666 on May 5, 2012.

This show is opened to all and any year Datsun Z, Nissan Z and Infiniti G35 and G37 series vehicle regardless of age or condition! There will be many trophies, door prizes and more. Car setup between 9 am and 12 noon. This will be a People’s Choice Car Show. Judging will be done by participants and spectators.

Judging will be between 12 noon and 3:30 pm with awards ceremony at 4 pm. Open Free to the public/spectators.

BTW, I think that is Mother's Day weekend....

Jose, if the folks download the image I posted it will print out as a full size document that can be filled out and submitted for registration purposes. Hopefully ZCAR and other NoVA folks can make it down. :tup: I know I'm looking forward to it.

I still miss Hampton after leaving it back in 2000. :(

i take it some of you have gone to this before. how is it? and would it be worth the drive from Pittsburgh? i'm tryin to do some Z shows this summer and so far this seems to be the first one of the summer.

This will be my 1st one. But I've hung with the Newport News/Hampton (and Richmond) folks and it's always been a blast! Maybe a bit of a drive but I'd say it would be worth it. :tup:

well my cousin lives down in alexandria VA so worst case i could just drive see him and the fam then next day drive down to the show. maybe take a day or two off of work and hit VA Beach while im down that far. i just never done any of these and i only got one friend up here with a Z lol not a big scene for them in Pittsburgh.

EDIT - plus you have the perfect color Z to head down 95 in....two Monterey Blue Z's!

that would look pretty sick. especially if i get the time and money to get my stock rays powdercoated black and MB pinstripe along with my door handles blacked out.

for now i just bought an uprev tuner, next week new tires, oil change materials, and drilled/slotted rotors. hopefully lol

the Z is coming out of hibernation next week just in time for my bday. hopefully the road dept cleans the salt/cinders off the road for me.

Not to put this Car Show down, but I have been before to it and is not that great. However you will see a lot of old school cars there and is good to support fellow Z owners.

Anyway is another Car Show... I might not participate but swing by since is about 20 mins from the house. Also is so close to ZdayZ which is what it matters to me.

i was reading up on that ZdayZ show and i'd like to go but the lodging place right by it is all booked besides like tent camp spots when i checked availability today. not really what i wanna do for sleeping and not tryin to stay 40 min away either.

Keep calling, people cancel at the last minute. They should have something at the main lodge.

Maybe you can find someone that has a room or cabin a needs a roommate to share the cost.

Check with the Mid-A guys or from your region.

BTW, this year the registration has gone up from previous year so keep trying.

Dude, I hear its VERY price per night, like $180... fuuuuuuuuck.:eek:

For a room $180 at the lodge? :confused: We paid like $129 for a one bedroom cabin during the past events.

Crap....and I already paid for registration. Ah well....guess I'm going anyways. :tup: It's been quite awhile since I was down in Hampton....that's also part of why I want to go. ;)

i was just on the site last night and the only available spots that came up again were tent spots or like camper hook up spots. idk if their website sucks or what. i may just call this weekend and see whats up.

Hell yeah I got my sleeping bag, dude Im ready.. its gonna be fun.

We might or will participate to show support since their Prez went to our Show in October. Anyway I'll see u there!

Sam is getting the gathering point in a few days. Pomoco is right there once you turn to Mercury Blvd and really no place to stop unless you pull into a gas station etc.

I'm heading down Friday morning. I haven't been back there (at least Hampton) in 12 years. I want a day to just cruise around and see if anyone I remember is still down there.

You could get off at Route 3 in Fredericksburg and head down 2/17 south? thats some wide open country roads..Jump on to 64 again? Great drive though. :tup: there are a few small towns that you have to go slow threw, but besides that, lots of room to play....

When is the latest for registration? ...and also can u still go to the car show but not compete or register.. I live in Chesapeake and have been desperately trying to get up with fellow Z Owners . Any info would be great

Take a weekend off, come up to the DC area and hang out with the best crew in the area. The MaZoc crew!:tup::tup:

You can register the day of the show. I could be wrong but the early registration may have ended. The cost is just $5 more but check the flier...there may be someone you can email or call and verify this information.

pre-reg was done april 25th. also i will not be making the trip since i forgot i will be on a tattoo table all day saturday. got an appointment o get my chest colored in. plus it's cinco de mayo lol i will be indulging in many cerveza's after my new ink.
