Absolutely not. The only mods that require a tune are mods that mess with air flow and fuel consumption and even then, usually only if you stack them.

Also D, if you're not going to track the car - you will get absolutely nothing out of an oil cooler.

m4a1mustang 02-14-2013 09:20 AM

Well, he might. On the street, in the summer, you can get the car to overheat pretty easily with some spirited driving.

But this is Dee we're talking about... no spirited driving. :bowrofl:

dmhenderson 02-14-2013 09:22 AM

I dunno. I never ever overheated my 09' base and never invested in an oil cooler. Even driving like a maniac, I've never gotten the '12 nismo over 220

m4a1mustang 02-14-2013 09:26 AM

Well the 2012+ have a factory cooler (not the aftermarket air type).

I definitely got 250+ multiple times in my 2009. Just have to wring it out. Dan got his into limp mode last time he had his Z at the Dragon. I came very close.

m4a1mustang 02-14-2013 09:30 AM

Anyways, I can say with confidence, Dee don't need no stinkin' oil cooler. :icon17: :icon17:

As with anything, though, you've gotta do it right. It's so easy to screw up suspension and there are just too many newbs out there that think they're making something better but in reality they're screwing it up. :icon17:

You know what I really wanna do? I wanna lube all the grease points, there's almost 20, and Im sure its gonna be a bitch to find all of them.

Thanks man.. I figured it'd be beneficial with all the traffic.

Who said 2012+ have factory oil cooler? If so, I wouldn't invest a 34 row cooler in mine

eastwest2300 02-14-2013 09:49 AM

Steve, you wanna work collectively on lubing the chasis? Im sure your Honda could use it as well.

eastwest2300 02-14-2013 09:50 AM

The service manual says to do it once a year. And I have a grease gun, they recommend Honda White Lithium grease, Im not sure where we can get that besides the Honda stealership.

eastwest2300 02-14-2013 09:52 AM

I found that lithium grease on ebay..

chieuxuan 02-14-2013 09:54 AM

D, you can pm Jomer for those white grease
