That's not what you were saying a couple months ago when you wanted to race me in it at the drag strip :stirthepot:

Yeah that's the only thing I'm worried about, though there are companies that will allow you to buy single event coverage. It just adds another $100-150 to the cost of a track event, but worth it just to be safe IMO. I might still take my chances though. From what I hear, there are very few incidents in the beginner classes. I'd rather take it slow and steady than try to be overconfident and go too fast. If you just listen to everything the instructor says, you should be alright.

Even after crashing once, I wouldn't get insurance again, I don't think. Maybe if I had cash to blow :-P

As long as you can afford to write the car off that's fine.

Given your record of regressing 1/4 mile times, he'd probably win. :icon18:

This. S2K could probably be really dangerous on Jefferson. :stirthepot:

Jefferson and Shenandoah, for sure. Main, I can't see the Z losing unless the driver isn't winding it out...

Would you be saying that if your crash was worse though? Especially if it had totalled your Z?

You're probably right. There is enough high speed running on Main. If the S2K were to win it would need a lot of help from the Z.

Sometimes, you just need to recognize ya did something stupid. Sure, it would be nice, but if you approach is properly, you shouldn't have any issues at all.

If I totaled it..yeah, I did something seriously wrong lol. Personally, I say that getting it for your first weekend out isn't a bad idea. Past there, you should be ok.

The trouble with this is... you need it most when you don't have it.

IMO, if you can afford to write your car off... do with out. If you can't, buy track insurance*.

*If you can't afford to pay the high deductible should you total your car, don't go to the track yet. :icon17:

I'm more worried about the things I can't control, like some other driver trying to be Michael Schumacher out there and crashing into me.
