So.... since my Yokohama's only have 9000 miles on them, should I move my 245/45/18 rear tires to the front and pick up a set of 275/40/18's? It would be cheaper than buying a set of four Michel Pilot Super Sports - I want to hold off on that till all four Yoko's are worn.

Oh, and someone can have the 225/50/18's if/when I do swap them out.

m4a1mustang 02-08-2012 10:13 AM

I'd just get the PSS.

Masa 02-08-2012 10:17 AM

Yeah I really want to but I can't justify wasting good tires. May have to start driving like a BAWS asshat just so I can wear them down quicker so I don't feel bad about wasting them lol.

I think that would work. That way the rears and fronts will need replacement at the same time. I think when I get my next set of tires, I will go for summer tires and hope we don't get a crazy blizzard-filled winter. My front and rear tires will probably be replaced like 15k miles apart.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, the fronts would have 9k on them and the rears would be brand new and I could replace all four of them when the rear's need replacement.
