I'm gonna try and hold off on using any in the event that I'm able to make it to ZDayZ. That'll be a week right there.

Just don't completely rule it out, ok? Else I'll have to have Birdman drive up there and get rough on you. You wouldn't like him when he's angry. He's a real tough customer... who'll tickle you until you comply.

Well, if we're going cruising with Cwiz, we'll have to do another Frederick area Cruise, since he's up around Gettysburg. Maybe we'll even cruise up that far.

I've also got to look into a new location for our summer picnic. Jon and I have to do some scouting and see what's available. Definitely loved last year's cookout at Sandy Point, but I'd like to find something with more shade and less traffic if possible. :D

Sounds good to me. I'm probably going to order new brake pads/fluid right after graduation so I should be good to go by the time this cruise happens.

I don't think they would be that different, they come out of the same spot on the body, and mount in the same location on the hub. But yeah, nothing a quick phone call can't solve.

omg is it me or are the chinese merchants getting worse? I ordered some spring loaded hinges ($4 for both) March 31, they tell me dilivery by April 6-11. They sent me and email april 1 say'n they shipped my items... Now, almost 2 weeks later, I email them and ask where my shiznit is and they email me back with April 25-May 12 (the 12th is a saterday...and almost 6 weeks after I ordered them) Do you think that Google Translate can convert "DAMN YOU AND YOUR CHEAP PRICES!<Waves Fist Angrily>" into kanji? I would like to speak to them so they realy can feel where I am coming from.

Yeah they do, they're just $44 more for the base brakes. So with SS brake lines, Hawk HPS bads, and ATE Super blue fluid my brake upgrade comes up to a total of $300 + shipping. An Akebono upgrade kit would cost me at least $1600 new or around $1000-1200 used. I think I'll stick with my base brakes and use the money I save for tires :p

The good thing is if you stick with the SS lines and good fluid. When you do get to upgrade to akebono's, those will be parts you don't have to get new. Which should drop the cost of your upgrade.

But I do think though upgraded brakes will do more for you than upgraded tires.

If I do this, I will probably not upgrade to the akebono's later. I want to get summer tires on my car when I go tracking. I feel like it wouldn't be as fun on my current all seasons. If I were to track with my all seasons they would need replacing by the time fall/winter comes around so I'd have to buy more all seasons. The only problem I face is that I don't have any place to store an extra set of tires :p

I understand that. But can the base brakes hold up to tracking? Even with good pads/fluid/lines... can the calipers themselves stop the car under those conditions? :ugh2:

I have been told they can. Any one else here care to verify?
