I think you missed this comment:

That....along with whatever was happening to cause it to be considered "reckless" is the issue. Not that he was only going 12 over. Yes, in VA they generally ticket you for reckless when going 20 over.....but two reckless tickets in the same year, within a few months......kiss your license goodbye. And I will say this, too......it's possible when the cops checked and saw he had already been caught for reckless before, they used him as an example. I won't deny that it really depends on the officer who stops you. |
