Good shop for Swift install.
Anyone have any recommendations for shops to get my Swifts installed?
Hill's Garage contacted me and they are pretty booked for a while so I am on a waiting list with them. Wondering if anyone had other shops I could bring it into. |
You could always try the Kirk Garage. It's where I get all my work done. :p

I think most shops want up to $600 for a spring install. One reason why I'd like to enlist the help of someone with a spring compressor instead. Payment in beer and pizza (or in Kirk's case... coffee and Dunkin Donuts )
|
I gotta buy him lunch or something at the next meet to pay for all the stuff I've gotten done from him :p

You could try JE Import performance also. If you want to do it yourself you can shoot me a PM and we will open up Kirk's Garage... |

I guess I could have just done one post with a multi quote, but this way gets my post count up without having to resort to the dreaded obligatory
:iagree: posts with no real content or value... |
You can also get jose's contact info from blades. He will align it as well.

You can always count on Kirk. He is DA man and has a garage full of toys and tools
|
Update for those who are curious about quotes i got for install:
Hills Garage - $200 Atlantic Motorsports - $200 AAM - $430 (what the hell are these guys smoking?) |
I think it's either $75 or $100 with alignment from the guy that is doing the alignment for blades

Yeah, totally agree with working on it myself. Just gotta see when I have some free time to actually work on it. :p
|
Yea time is always an issue...
Kirk's garage is going to have a wait list at the rate things are going. 1) Trooper (springs and a lift kit) 2) Masa (springs) 3) GM Traitor (springs and 24s) 3) Eastwest2300 (crooked Spoiler) |

Well, buddy at work has spring compressors he will let me borrow so I took off Friday and gonna try it myself. Stay tuned for pics pending of either epic win or epic fail. :ughdance:

make sure you have a 1/2inch 19mm 6 point socket. they put the bottom bolt on the front shocks on with STUPID torque levels. I broke 2 1/4 to 1/2inch adaptors.
Other than that bolt it is fairly strait forward. the sway bar links are on pretty tight also. |

Also, the alignment from Dan's friend is $50. |
Swifts are on - was pretty straightforward install. Took like 2 hours.
