Mostly for fun. But you can make money doing it at that price if you know what you are doing. My crew only works on cars for enthusiasts, so there is less of an expectation, and thus less overhead.

Ahhh sweet, whats the advantage of those?

Lowers your car and its center of gravity. Improves handling.

The springs are stiffer than stock, which reduces body roll, etc. They are 10k F and 10.5K R, as opposed to the significantly softer stock springs that also have a 2k difference F/R-- this helps the car feel a bit more neutral through turns.

The biggest thing is the car looks far more badass without an inch and a half of wheel gap.

Damn, I wish I lived near you guys. The shops up here all charge an arm and a leg. Nissan quoted me $600 for a spring install and $80 for alignment. :shakes head:

Ask around-- there are some pretty inexpensive shops in NY.

Or you could make a day trip to DC and get it done.

You could always try to find a fellow forum member willing to help. Or at least ask them what shop they recommend for the install. Check out Performance Motorsports in LI. Not sure how their pricing is, but it seemed like a really good shop when i went there.
