If I had my own place, I'd offer you a place to stay, but I'm already taking the floor of a friend's lodge room :(

Running the Dragon in the rain doesnt sound like much fun:ugh2: Ive been following the weather down there for a few weeks. Been raining A LOT:shakes head:

You're in the mountains, the weather changes hourly. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, 2010 rain almost every morning, in 2011 not a single drop that I recall...

My first Dragon run was in the rain.

I kinda like it when it rains a bit. Just relax on the deck of the cabin and watch it come down.

i have been too. we're still a week away, let's hope it clears up.

Rain is a blast. Limits are lower, and the car speaks to you much more clearly.

m4a1mustang 05-09-2012 08:06 AM

It's also easier to hit stuff. :icon17:

I just hope it's not wet the whole time. A skyway run in the wet would suck, and you wouldn't be able to see any of the nice views. And if it is raining on Friday we probably won't hike up to Clingman's dome since we won't be able to see anything.

Anyways, this is a good reminder to pack umbrellas and ponchos.

Weather decree!

By the powers vested in me as a card carrying member of MAZOC -- the weather next week will be JUST FINE! A little sun, a few clouds, maybe a little moisture, certainly periods of light followed by dark, but that is always followed by light again.......and THAT is just on Jon & Pat's deck.......

m4a1mustang 05-09-2012 08:20 AM

I'm just hoping I survive and make it there. I am pulling 14 hour work days and will probably be working the full weekend.
