I predict once the general public knows about this law it will be fought like the reckless driver "tax" a few years ago. I can understand the need to crack down on rolling right hand turns on red (most of my close calls are due to people doing this) but this excessive. This new law is not about safety it is about making money. If they had bumped the fine up a hundred or two and added a mandatory class then they could claim safety. $2500!!!! are they out of their minds.
