Blade, you know, I was thinking, theres quite a few of us in the general area, I would say we should get a few of us together, and paint our headlights all at the same time, but 1st we'd have to find someone that knew how to do it, and we could all help each other through the process.
We could plan a day, sometime soon, order pizza, drink some beer, and custom paint some headlights.. I think it'd be fun. Just a thought. What do you think? |
It does sound like a good idea, but I don't want to get my headlights painted. I don't think it would look good with my car's color. It definitely looks good on a black Z though. If you guys do it, I don't mind just hanging out and watching/helping if I can. Let me know if you decide to do it.

And, you're car is silver, I think, if you found your car's paint color, that would look pretty sick. Just my 2 cents. |

I think my headlights are fine the way they are. My car is platinum graphite which is a gray that's darker than the silver color. If it was a darker gray like the 40th Z, then maybe I would do it. After the spoiler, I think my Z is good in the looks department. Now its time to move on to performance  |
What about doing something like this:

I'd be afraid to open up the headlight housings. Always be afraid that condensation would form inside.
Custom headlights look good, but it's one mod I'm passing on solely due to risk. |

Beyond that, the LEO harassment that comes from having anything done to lights is simply not worth it, at least if you drive the car regularly. |

Yeah I don't think its worth the trouble. It's also makes it more difficult to bring the car back to stock when trying to sell it. You would have to go through the trouble of buying new headlights and replacing the painted ones or find someone willing to buy it as is. I'm planning on selling it in like 3 years, so I don't want to do something that would be hard to bring back to stock.

Spoiler is finally installed!!! Got it done from Christian Auto Body in Laurel for $80. They did a great job. :happydance:

Ok so I noticed some bubbles in the tint on my right tail light in the past few days, but it wasn't really that big of a deal to me. I woke up this morning and I saw that there was a huge pocket of air underneath the vinyl
I just sent an e-mail to the guy at Xlnt Tint. I hope this gets fixed soon. I washed my car for the first time after getting the tint done yesterday, maybe that Is what caused the problem. I will let you guys know how it goes. Here are some pics of the tail light: All the problems are around the edges of the reverse light. http://www.the370z.com/members/b1ade...ure29150-a.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/b1ade...ure29149-a.jpg |

I bought the Z to drive it, so I'm not gonna let something like gas prices stop me. I'd rather cut back on other stuff and have fun with the Z.
