I was actually talking about the 2010 maxima I used to have :)

The Z was good past 100 at the track, but I wasn't really paying attention to the speedo. I probably hit like 115ish before I started braking.

I didst look at the speedometer at all while on the cruise, so I assume I was at or below the speed limit the entire time

Though if you hold 100 for a few miles and then honk, the Z will probably have already started to overheat. Win for the Maxima. :icon17:

Yes insurance requires a helmet but no one really enforces it. This event has always been open to any Z/G/GTR that was willing to chip in their piece to cover the rental and insurance cost. There is no money being made on this event. It's just good fun, running down the strip ALL DAY LONG. :)

I've helped organize this event the last 3 years. We were going to let it go this year to try out the road course event and support ZdayZ sponsors, but since that is not happening, we're ramping back up.

If you want to participate all you have to do is say that you are interested and then be ready with your deposit ($125 to $225 or thereabouts depending on number who enroll and sponsors). The main thread is over at m y 3 5 0 z in the FI forum. Hope to see some of you guys there. Last year there was a NA trophy and a FI trophy. :)

I must have done ~20 runs last year. you just ask someone to pair up and settle on a rolling speed. Some guys even did a few runs from a dead stop. Did I mention that the police showed up to spectate last year? They even busted out the radar on us for a few runs.

We all were told to bring helmets last year ans then never used them. The guy that runs/owns the airport was super chill and even let me buy a clamp after I blew off a coupler during a run.

Of course the 5.0 is banned because it's top speed is 5.0 to the 5.0th power. :yum:

There are two classes. We even had "friends" in non-Z/non-G cars come out. A viper, a 500+ rwp C5, a V8 GTO, and a V10 M6. If you are a prior Z/G owner and/or are signing up with a Z/G buddy, then I think that's fair game also. The objective is to get a bunch of cool car enthusiasts together and have some fun. Just post up in the main thread and I'm sure you'll get some love. :)

They were having problems with the website. I believe it should be ok to register now... That reminds me, I'm going to go try again.

The bigger problem is finding someplace to stay at this point.

Who wants my slot at ZdayZ? I'm registered and also registered for the car show event on Saturday. I'm sure I can contact Patrick (HKYStormFront) so he can then contact Bryan Settle and switch names with whomever wants it. PM me so I can get the switch made soon.....not much time left.

red6spd 04-06-2011 10:58 AM

Do you think he'd just take a PM from me on FB as to who will be replacing me? I don't want money for it.....it's a free trip to whomever wants to replace me. And the car show registration is included, too.....but you don't have to put your car in the show.....just an option that will have already been paid for.
