So to those of you who know me or have met me at the various meets and dinners know that I am a very laid back and chill person, and not one to be spiteful but... :stirthepot:

I must say, nothing is more self gratifying than seeing a girl from high school who wouldn't give you the time of day or even a simple greeting in the hallways be the one to bag your groceries. I was never one to wear flashy clothes or wear the latest sneakers so I wasn't worth her time I guess. I was in my work clothes (business attire). She recognized me right away and tried to catch up and see how I was doing.

My reaction to this was simple:

Same deal here. I went to my 10 yr hs reunion thinking there might be some people that show up that I'd like to see. Nope, just all the preps and jocks that were a bunch of a$$es back in the day. The cool thing for me was the majority of these "beautiful" people were either all used up, married and miserable with kids, or just a complete loser with no job. Felt pretty good being able to say how well I am doing now and sorry no I'm not interested in hanging out with you some time now.

Been too much off-topic trolling of late, so I'm bumping this thread. This is where that stuff belongs, not cluttering up legit threads.

Me, Rob, and Al were watching Super Troopers while waiting for my wheels to dry today.

eastwest2300 09-01-2012 09:41 PM

How'd they turn out?

b1adesofcha0s 09-01-2012 10:01 PM

We'll find out in the daylight tomorrow morning :icon17:

Everything was going smoothly till we started putting the paint on. Seems like the combination of the high temps and humidity caused the paint to come out weird. It was like bubbling and not going on smoothly. We did the best we could and I think it turned out alright. Might need to do a little wet sanding and put on another coat of clear to smooth them out a little more. Not bad for a first time DIY though.

eastwest2300 09-01-2012 10:08 PM

Thats odd about the paint bubbling.. thats weird.

Yeah we actually had to sand down some of the bubbling and repaint it :shakes head:

eastwest2300 09-01-2012 10:34 PM

Paint can be a b1tch, once you spray it, usually theres no going back.

b1adesofcha0s 09-01-2012 10:55 PM

Still not bad considering I did all 4 wheels for less than how much it would cost to get one done professionally. They're gonna be covered in brake dust like 90% of the time anyway :p

eastwest2300 09-01-2012 11:24 PM

Are these the same wheels that you plastidipped? Your base wheels?

Yup my base wheels, but I have had the plasti dip taken off for a while now.

eastwest2300 09-02-2012 11:53 AM

You know if I were to plastidip the base rims, I'd completely have the tire removed, and do the entire rim, inside and out, I think it'd look good doing it that way.

And then the plasti dip would get ripped off when they put your tire back on :roflpuke2:

That's why I decided to paint instead of plasti dip. Not much point in doing the inside of the wheel to me. Its gonna stay pretty dirty from the brake dust anyway. With a dark color wheel, you honestly don't even notice it.

eastwest2300 09-02-2012 01:47 PM

So i just got back from Kirk's house to pick up my OEM exhaust, and believe or not, we managed to fit the entire thing in the S2000!! It was a tight fit, but it worked!
