Diff fluid almost always comes out smelling nasty. What are you going to use? Redline is good stuff.

Almost got taken out by an old lady in a big black caddy...
She decided that she was going to follow the truck into the post office parking lot. Truck had lots of room. The caddy not so much. She was 3/4 of the way into my lane before she got it stopped. I had the antilock brakes maxed out and just managed to steer around her. I think there was less than an inch between her bumper and my drivers side wheel. Thank god no one was pulling out of the post office lot or I would have been screwed... |
Very glad you're ok, Kirk!

Spending Presidents Day afternoon watching the Top Gear Marathon on BBC America -- AND doing some home network administration/maintenance..... Gotta love Top Gear! Jeremy Clarkson is such an "pompous @$$" -- probably why I like him so much! :icon17:

Just drove a cts-v coupe....well I found a car I like more than my Z. Blows the cl63 out of the water. Need that promotion here in may!

I was really impressed with it when I saw it at the DC Auto Show. Didn't get to drive one though. |
cts-v is that nice??

I'm thinking of trading in the Z for a 335i... mmm turbo

Plan B is to save up so I can buy a Corvette outright in cash in a couple years. Then the Z can be the beater car. |

C7 Corvette is on my list of possible next cars. |

Then theres the credit card debt........ :shakes head: |
CTS-V is one badass ride.
I honestly think my next car is going to be a Viper, and it will probably be an addition to the current stable. I just need to get a house first. :icon17: |

I do like the Z though so keeping it as a DD and getting a Corvette would be a better move. :icon17: |

Who needs 4 seats? Damn freeloaders, tell them to get a bus pass!! |

You need a beater, ive got an 08 honda pilot as my daily driver (dont really daily drive it though, considering I work from home 100% of the time). Id keep the altima and buy the vette. Not sure why youd need 2 toys and a beater, but, like I tell my wife and family regarding all the debt im in, you only live once! :driving: |

And no, im not going to be like that guy on that thread a month back or so telling you how to spend your money that got you all riled up ;) |

I will get a house eventually when I am comfortable with price and location and all of the jazz. |
And if you compare the S2K to other cars in its class (go karts) it is very practical!
|
I mean I cant say too much, at one point, up until dec 2010, I have a clk 500 and an m3 convertible. My wife has an 08 Tiburon. Yeah....I was real practical.
If I could do it all over again, id get a prius instead of a damn gas guzzling Pilot. (Its the liberal in me!!!) |

Its hilarious, if you go onto prius forums, their big thing is seeing how many mpg they can get. One guy measured how low he could put his windows down (he measured them to the millimeter) to get the best mileage. Another guy literally bought like 5 sets of tires and ran them for about a thousand miles each to see what gave the best mileage.
Its a little opposite of what we do here..... |
