Hey, it was a small turnout today but none the less it was great to see you guys! It was 105 on the way home this afternoon and my Z was running oil temps of about 230-235 with the AC off. With it on it jumped to close to 240 but no higher.
|
Who all showed? I was going to try to get up at 6 so I could make it there in time but I needed the sleep!
|
anyone up for PM meeting for drinks?

The wife is away & may be away next weekend. If she is not back, I won't be sailing _/) and I can come again next Sat. ... Mike with the Black Cherry Roadster. :)

It was good to get back out among friends and fellow ZZZZ's
My car read 105 when I got near Fredericksburg......and that was around 1:00 this afternoon.... I had oil temps of 220 -230 with the AC on.... Looks like I 'll be looking for an oil cooler  |

After I switched over to redline, I notice that my oil temperature runs about 10 degrees higher than the nissan oil. Its not really a big problem being that it runs at 220 instead of 210, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed this change as well when they switched?
|
Nick, thats interesting because I've run nothing but the Nissan Ester Oil in the Z and my average temps are always at 220. Its just been during these last few months with the heat plus AC that I'll see my temps going up. I'm getting my oil cooler installed soon so it will be interesting to see how much change in temps I'll see.

OK, I will check my oil level again today. Maybe I just didn't top it off all the way.
|
Yeah, definitely check. It takes 5 1/8 quarts for a full fill.
Check for any leaks at the filler plug and filter, too. |
