Another great turnout for the Fairfax meet! I think we had about nine or ten at one time. I've posted a link to slideshow of photos and here are few of today's meet here below:

Ditto with previous posts -- super turnout today -- great to meet new friends and see old ones!

Now if we can just get Coastal Flats to come up with a better x 11 seating solution.......

OBTW, got the Cracker Barrel Rockers and have already "load tested".....they work like a charm......:icon17:

Steve, the rockers look made for your porch! I also agree about the seating at Coastal Flats. With the group numbers being larger, we'll have to think about that next time. I think Dogfish Head has that nice room that seats about 12 easily. Maybe next Fairfax meet we can think about that.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next FFX meet, time to make the trip out to VA.

Good to see everyone yesterday.

Jay, to reiterate what I was telling you, definitely don't go with summer rubber year-round. Even with FWD it's going to be no good in the snow.

Sigh... guess I'll just have to put up with new A/S tires in the winter and get the Hankooks in the spring... :shakes head:

haha, I actually dealt with that huge snow we got with summer tires in both cars...including sliding driving the Z to pick up the WRX.

Red__Zed 08-07-2011 07:56 PM

why the eff the WRX only comes with summer tires, I'll never know....

sucasa 08-07-2011 08:00 PM

I couldn't make to the meet.. did a long drive to W VA this afternoon. Out of curiosity, is a northern VA member w/ a Yellow base Z who was on 495 heading towards 66 W this afternoon.

Just wanted to say nice ride..

I thought you had two sets of wheels for the WRX... one for winter and one for summer?

I revert your attention back to an earlier post with this photo:
