1st race was so-so, 2nd (still in progress)......I'm NOT a big fan of the new physics...I'm just hoping the dynamics change with 43 on the track......still worth leaving the office early to catch some "Speed TV".....<grin>

I thought the shootout was fine with the bigger plate but now with the small one the cars have no power. You can't gain on anyone like you could before or recover if you lost momentum.

Yep the shootout was much better. Seems they have also figured out how to push longer by sticking the nose out too.

Will be interesting to see if there are any more "changes" before Sunday......

If they go back to the bigger plate I will be happy. But knowing how they operate they will probably come up with some stupid rule that's impossible to police... like, "you can't push someone for more than one lap." Then they'll black flag everyone so 88 wins. :rolleyes:

I don't know how the season's gonna go, I just know the chase ends with a Lowe's driver raising the cup.

(disclaimer: i don't like that driver, just stating my extrapolation based on the past 5 years)

Until some other team can step up you're probably right. I actually like him so I don't mind it. We're witnessing history and we probably won't see another driver do something like this for another 25 years or so.

So how many folks are coming to the Fairfax meet tomorrow morning? Better be a good showing since the weather is gonna be in the mid 50's :tup:
