:iagree:

Airsoft is for wimps, who cares about realism, its all about laying down the paint...

You didn't wear a mask?

I know PB and Airsoft can be quite dangerous if you happen to get hit in the wrong spot.

Le-sigh! Paintball is fun if you just want to run around and brainlessly fling paint around.

Airsoft is cool if you want to use your brain. Or take a nap in the woods for a few hours while nothing happens. :icon17:

You were hitting 22-24bps in straight semi-auto? Good lord, your debounce and trigger sensitivity settings have gotta be ridiculous, or just really quick fingers hahaha. If we agree on going to Warplay, you can run any mode (PSP, burst, full-auto) which is fun, but you burn through paint WAYYYY too quickly.

I say we need to make this happen. I think this group would have a blast (no pun intended) on the field.

My boards do not allow Full auto or Burst... Strictly tourney legal..

I do have them tweaked up a bit and have the 15bps cap turned off... But you do have to have a trigger pull for each shot. No bounce as that is a great way to get thrown out of a tourney...

It's not just running around slingin' paint. Definitely some tactics involved (one reason I hate having newbs on my team). Played in quite a few tournaments back in the day.

Kirkster- since you're up in MD, you ever played at OA in Bowie?

That describes Airsoft pretty well...

Yeah all the fields in my area are semi-auto only. A few refs tried to call me out for running PSP on multiple occasions, but after they tested the settings on my Tadao board, they just said "damn dude, you could have fooled us. Way to feather that trigger".

Once or a dozen times or so... I know they were having problems at that field with the land owner so I am not even sure if Bowie is still open...

Have not been serious in the tourney scene since 01. But I still go out and play a bit...

Got to "Sling" that paint...

m4a1mustang 11-05-2010 09:31 AM

No, I agree that PB is pretty tactical. I know it's very fast paced... much more so than most airsoft matches.

Airsoft is only really fun if you play with a serious group in the right setting. I used to play with the Virginia Airsoft Group and we'd have 60+ players on several acres of mountainous terrain... made for some really good fun.

But yeah, you could defintely sneak away and take a nap. One match my fireteam was on defense of one of the objectives and we hung out for like 3 hours without seeing anybody... but it's kind of cool to get taken up in the realism of it all.

Yeah I was up there a few years ago for the "Battle of the Bulge" scenario. Almost 500 people there that day. Even then, they were having problems with the land owner due to all the residential housing so close to the fields.

Alright, now I have the urge to hit the field. PM7 needs a tune-up, then ready to rock and roll.

Wear a balaclava under the mask next time to keep out any of the splatter. :bowrofl:
