F*ck, just remembered I might have to go to a wedding then. Can't remember if it was on Friday night or Saturday night. I should probably find out soon :icon17:

It's on my DVR, but haven't had the chance to look at it. I figured it would be pretty good...

Red__Zed 07-14-2011 05:45 PM

Any word from Steve and Jon on Saturday?

I'm going to be in conferences and flying pretty much until I get into PHF, so I'm trying to get everything planned now

b1adesofcha0s 07-14-2011 05:51 PM

Not going to Capitol tomorrow night. Dan the word from Steve and Jon is that you need to go on the cruise

m4a1mustang 07-14-2011 06:57 PM

Dan, I am going to be a no-go for Williamsburg. Not sure what Jon is planning.

Just keep in mind that once you add HFCs to your Intake/CBE combo you will need to get a tune.

When and why should you get a tune?
I talked to PTuning after having my CBE installed, and they said something like "since everything you have is bolt ons, you wont see much of a gain".
And I've got my Berk HFC's coming tomorrow and being installed in a couple of weeks

The general rule with the 370 is once you have intake, HFCs, and CBE. The three together are enough to throw your air/fuel ratio out of whack enough such that the stock ECU can't adjust for it. You'll see some gain and will have a safe a/f ratio if you are tuned by a shop that knows what they are doing.

Apparently all my friends/family decided to have their weddings this weekend and next. I have one next Friday and Saturday nights as well. So I'm aiming for 2 weeks from tomorrow to head out there again. Good thing I remembered when I did. Otherwise I would have gotten a call from my parents while at the track yelling at me to get my azz home :roflpuke2:

Have any good recommendations for a shop to do the tune?

ZCarMan 07-14-2011 08:40 PM

I am staying in town. I have to get some things done in preps for departing for ZCON next week.

I think most folks around here hit up Hill's Garage in MD.

Nissan and Infiniti mechanic in Baltimore

Correct. Bill, I've had a lot of work done at Hills and I stand by the quality of their work. They have an excellent tuner "Frank" who knows his stuff. Another recommended place is AAM.

Jay, Birdman, Blades: Thanks for the recommendations.

My HFC's got delivered yesterday.
I'll see about getting them installed next week and check into a tune the week after that.

Just don't go overboard with it. Before you know it, you'll end up like most Maxima owners and plasti-dip everything they can get their hands on :roflpuke2:

Ha! Folks on my forum have been plasti-dipping stuff for years. I understand the principle of it, just not my style.
