I love snow but this is now a little much.

Anyone take their Z out (those who have it as their only car)?

My Z has been with my parents for the last two weeks. They were nice enough to let me borrow their Buick and even it is having issues with grounding out on some of the rutted snowy roads.

I have a feeling road quality this year is going to be a mess... this winter is hell on the road surfaces and I don't think there's money in the state budget to fix everything. :shakes head:

And yes -- Ballston mall is ghetto!

:iagree:

definitely, too much snow this winter..........and not over yet.........more to come on sunday/monday..........

nonetheless, this thunder blizzard is once in a life time event in NOVA area, for it was about 90 years ago the area had the comparable weather condition.........

my car too is sitting in the garage............ just cant wait to bypass the break-in period................seems like it's going to take forever..........

also, i would be cautious taking out my Z............very reluctant.........for there are many potholes as mentioned......especially on the ramp from I66 to 495 and in annandale area.......... it would be costly to fix all the holes and cracks throughout the area...... ultimately, the citizens have to pay for the repair...:icon14:

Did you paid $400 for that cover?

Not outright -- after we'd come to agreement on the price and I was about to sign, I "fanageled" the car cover being thrown in for free as a "deal breaker" -- of course that probably means I paid $600 for it...<grin>

Good to hear there are some NASCAR fans in the Forum -- I was afraid I'd have to keep that fact quiet....<grin>

I hear you all but unfortunately, I do not have a beater or winter warrior to get around.

Good news is the Ballston Mall is off the list but I have to take a quick trip to Potomac Yard. I'll just have to be careful and deal with it.

Metroing to Old Town for beers though!

It may be safer driving the way the Metro system is doing nowadays. ;-)

Yeh no sh-t! At least I am not on the Death Line. I'm a Yellow Line rider, flowin' down the golden stream...

:ughdance: Another mental slip

I bet xiven is the guy from Texas that made that comment in another thread.

Will see if he drove the Z this past Saturday when Texas got pounded with snow.

Its coming again!!!

1230 Hours: I can see the snow on radar not too far South & West of Fairfax!

m4a1mustang 02-15-2010 12:28 PM

Seems like light accumulation, 1-3" at most.

BlackCherryZ 02-15-2010 01:05 PM

SUPPOSEDLY, one inch late afternoon and another inch by midnight..........

but who cares................after 32 inches of the first bout, anything less is just insignificant *^^*

schrack150 02-15-2010 01:07 PM

Not to beat a dead horse, but it's not even the lousy weather conditions but more so the fact that there are so many jackasses out on the roads who can't navigate them in the condition they are in.

But I guess, based on xiven's observations, that I should accept the risk of getting my Z rear ended by some schmo who can't properly adjust his or her stopping distance...

Snow has yet to start.
